Hello. You seem to be one of the few sane people on this forum. I live in the middle of no where, Alabama. It's the same way here about the lack of tolerence toward people that are out of the ordinary. I am Christin, but I don't shun other religions. I have friends that are catholic, atheist, Wiccan, ect. I believe I was created to help people get through tough things that are going on in their lives.

Who are you trying to convince you're a Christian? Is it yourself, us, your family, your neighbors, maybe God?

The truth is, your views are incompatible with Christianity. The sooner you accept it, the sooner you can move toward getting yourself right with Jesus, young lady.

Well, that is exactly the problem here. I live in the same town as these people, and I can tell, little has changed the past 400 years, at least when it comes to the way they think. These people want to apply the Old Testamental Law, especially when it comes to oppressing "different" groups like homosexuals, gothics, colored people and wiccans, like I am. They never bother to consult any source other than the King James Bible, so they will not do research. They believe research is "of the devil."

You seem to be a nice and tolerant person. Where do you live? What are your views on spirituality? I myself am a wiccan, and I believe that the Mother Goddess has placed us on this world to fulfill our role in the Grand Complexity of Nature, to tend for her and care for her.

I don't braid my hair or wear gold jewlery. I make most of my clothes. Am I trying to make myself stand out or get attention? No. I have made that point clear several times already. Like I said before, you should do some reaserch on the gothic subculture before you judge it.

Has it ever occured to you that maybe, just maybe, people might dress differently because they simply like it? I don't see why colored hair is wrong. Over the summer I had purple streaks in my hair. I got several compliments from random people I didn't even know. Was that my goal? Of course not. Same thing with clothes. I dress the way I do because I like it. Most of the time I wear a long black or other dark coloured skirt, an old-styled grey or white blouse, and a corset over the blouse. Is it a bit strange to other people? Yes, but everything is strange in some way. Even Christianity is strange. Pretend you are a person who has never come in contact with any religion. Someone comes along and tells you the story of Jesus. What would you think, having not grown up in a Christian home your entire life?*You would think they were crazy until you did some research and got to understand it better. It's the same way with the gothic subculture. Maybe you should try doing some deep research into it and understanding it. Then you can make your opinions about us. *

Did you READ the passages I selected? Here, let me show you some highlights. The point is not that you sin - it is that following your own nature is sinful. You are not allowed to do what you "like"
