    introducing myself

greetings Christians! i was told to introduce myself.

i am an ex-christian who went a journey from proving god via the 1st mover proof, to understanding the logical falsities in such a proof of god. at which point i became an agnostic. later on, after learning far more about the world around us, and understanding the null hypothesis, i became a true atheist. now i am a student of reality, rationalism, and empiricism, and a subscriber to Emanuel Kant.

that is me, my "church" and a little bit about my history, how i came to where i am, spiritually.

You turned your back on Baby Jesus?

    That's terrible.

Oh, I'm actually shocked and appalled, sir. You should never turn back to Jesus and Almighty God! I pray for your soul, maybe Lord have mercy upon you.

yes he did, however just becuase i enjoy his combination of rationalism and empiricism doesn't mean i share his religious beliefs.

the issue is that i am a naturalist. there has never been documented proof or even evidence of the super natural.

ergo, a belief in it without said evidence is nonsensical.

thats not a scientific argument, as science can say NOTHING about the super natural. so yes, science can agree with some beliefs, such as the existence of god, but it also knocks down some beliefs, such as creationism and the great flood.

That may not be nessesary. I understand your point of view ( it think ). I view it the same way, but when you investigate the things like the great flood, it is very plausible it did happen. I've once read that there was scientific proof that there was a great flood thousands of years ago. I believe this might corospond with the bible. Mayby not completely, but it is a start anyway. And about creationism. Lets just say that if the Big Bang ever happened ( I think it is very plausible ) then can It be, just mayby that God guided this bigbang to create the universe we know today?

Goodness me, we have a college student in our midst! Another ignorant child who read a book full of catch phrases he uses to hit on empty headed girls and casually mention in coffee shops to feel superior.

                  Wow, he is so kewl!

Son, God allows you to do what ever you want. It is simply called free will. If you were truly smart, you would not have to lean on the words of heathens, would be able to see God and would allow Him to embrace you. Sadly, you lame attempts at being a pseudo intellectual will end up biting you in the buttocks. Laugh now like a little child. You will wake up one day to reality and realize you've spit at Jesus one too many times. :haha"
Isaiah 45:7 I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.
Amos 3:6 Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be afraid? shall there be evil in a city, and the LORD hath not done it?
Numbers 21:6 And the LORD sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people; and much people of Israel died.
Matthew 10:34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.
Matthew 10:35 For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.
Matthew 10:36 And a man's foes shall be they of his own household.

Funny what kind of respond I get. It is full of negative comment. Please, you, I and all people who believe know that the primary force of God is LOVE. You are not very helpfull on that part.

And yes, I might be just a student and yes I might be wrong in the end. But then agian, we will never know for sure ^^.

And totally respect your point of view in any way possible, but please do not say I spit in the face of Jesus. Why do I do that? I follow his word, so why am I then spitting? Doesn't make sence, does it? =D

Well there is countless of "theories" pointing towards a great flood happened a long time ago. For example the great sphinx in Egypt. It has been proven that its outer shell has been contimated by water. This could point towards a great flood. I misspoken myself to say there is actually evidence, because that might be impossible. There will always be specullations about this subject.

                          Thanks anyway =D

Why am I a sinner by saying that it is possible for evolution to exist. I am NOT denying the bible and I am sure not denying the way of Jesus or God. Explain to me please why I sin by saying these kind of things. And yes, I am a rational thinker. But that doesn't mean I don't believe in God.

Anyway I wish you both the best of Love!!
