If he is Atheist, how can he hate something that he doesn't know to exist. I can show anger, love or hatred for the old man that lives up my road for i know he exists but i can not hate or show anger or love towards the pink unicorn that lives in my garden that i know doesn't exist. I know there isn't a pink unicorn that lives in my garden because an animal of that size would not be able to live there, my garden is small and contains no viable food source for a creature th size of a horse.
How can you say that God does not exist? Look out your window, every thing you see He created. If you don't think so read the Bible. It seems that you only believe in things that you can see or touch. Tell me do you believe in air? You cant see it , but its real. I bet you smoke some of that marijuana don't you.

No, it's not difficult. At least you're not inserting slanderous words.

Can't charity and love be interchangeable? If I'm charitable to the poor, there's some love that's obviously fueling my deeds.

Sorry if all of these questions sound idiotic.

Even questioning God is healthy, at least healthier than having your parent's thoughts and ideals on religion spoon fed to you and parroted back to them. That's exactly why I'm on this site. I have questions that need answering, thoughts that need to be fully formed, opinions and ideas that need to be challenged/ questioned etc.
If you want to question a man go for it. God is above questioning. You either believe in Him or you don't . If you do believe in God, then you follow the Bible word for word with out exception with out question. So pick a side will it be God or will it be Satan? No room for you in the middle, God does not like fence sitters.

Hate is a strong emotion, it represents all that is the worst in the human personality, murderous intentions, venegeful intentions and anger. I do not HATE anyone that has not done me personally wrong, at the time I probably HATE someone that is repeatedly punching me in the face thugh afterwards, with hindsight i probably would've avoided the situation that lead to me hating the person at the time but realise that logically it is fruitless to hate someone as i cannot change what has happened only that the consequences of that action can be repaired or fixed.

Whereas I strongly dislike what Hitler did and as a person i most likely wouldn't get along with him. That does not mean i hate him. I would avoid him and most likely attempt to remove him from a position of power as the Allies did in the 2nd World War, I would most likely have signed up for the British army and may have even given my life to protect the future generations. Nowhere in that instance is there hate. I may have felt anger at what he was doing to his, and many other, peoples as well as possibly vengeful feelings for what his regime was doing to the economies of the all the countries involved. Now i am saying i hate what he did as we still feel many of the repurcusios of such actions whereas i do not hate him, I feel sorry for his misguided beliefs of an Aryan society given he did not fit his own descriptions or a 'typical Aryan male'. I feel that we, The Allied Nations, took adequate venegance on him when we attempted to capture him to torture him for the rest of his mortal life by trying him, and hopefully finding him guilty, of War Crimes and the indirect murder of 6 million people of the jewish Faith. I DO feel angry that he was not punished but killed himself, his partner and many of those around him and was not tried in court and senetenced to something better than suicide.

Hate is a contexctual emotion in that it exists in the present, not past nor future.

You raise a valid point that you need love to be charitable, but even if we assume a strong relation, then charitability is still only a sub-section of love. As in: not all forms of love involve charity.

In fact, not all forms of charity are an act of love. How about being charitable to raise your own status? Not all people donate anonymously. A lot of people want to feel good and/or look good. So, what if the love that fuels your deeds is love for yourself? That doesn't count for God.

I, for one, have never smoked anything of the sort and i find it libelous that you accuse me of eing on drugs. Secondly, I do not personally believe that there is a God but that God is the explanation for things we do/did not understand.

Yes i believe in air, i have seen molecules of carbon, which exists as carbon dioxide in the air, in graphite, i have seen liquid nitrogen and oxygen which are also components of air. I do not need to see something to believe it exists, i don't believe in something or someone i have no physical evidence for existing.

Son, I do not love poor people. I do not love retarded people. I do not love evil people. My charity though, often spills onto these 'people'. My love is for Jesus Christ. Because of this, I give to my Church. My Church in turn runs soup kitchens and planned bus trips to places like San Diego.

                            See the difference?
Isaiah 45:7 I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.
Amos 3:6 Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be afraid? shall there be evil in a city, and the LORD hath not done it?
Numbers 21:6 And the LORD sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people; and much people of Israel died.
Matthew 10:34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.
Matthew 10:35 For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.
Matthew 10:36 And a man's foes shall be they of his own household.

Let's consult our friend the dictionary:
                              hate
n : the emotion of hate; a feeling of dislike so strong that it demands action [syn: {hatred}] [ant: {love}]
v : dislike intensely; feel antipathy or aversion towards; "I hate Mexicans"; "She detests negroes" [syn: {detest}]
                              [ant: {love}]

Your desperate attempt at justifying you don't hate Hitler is amusing. It looks like I hit a nerve and hit it HARD

So you would say your feeling of dislike is so strong that it demands action?

Note that YOU said that you would even have given your life for this action. Strange thing to do for something you don't feel so strongly about.......

Be wary of false Kumbaya Christians who use a highlighter and scissors to read the Bible. God wants us to read the lines, not between the lines. False Christians will go to Hell:
                              Matthew 7:22
Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
Matthew 7:23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

Why on earth would I want to be a Joo? I chose to be a Christian so I can go to Heaven.
