    Hi this Eddy, truly malayisan!

Hi True Christians , Bro and sis,

My name is Eddy from Malaysia Truly Asia! I'm married with 3 kids and my wife and i were baptsied in Christ by totally immersion 19 years ago. We believe, pratice and imitated as close as possible in the Book of Acts, teachings of the Apostles , Pual and of course the teachings of Jesus( Jesus is my Lord!)Yes we dont celebrate Xmas, Good Friday and bunny day for this are not written in the Bible.Nobody knows the actual day when our Lord born, how he look like, death date and resurrection. hehehe.

Currently I'm employed in Singapore as a regional service / project manager as this require me to travel often to all India( Pakistian, Banlesgesh and Sri Lanka), Vietnam, Thailand, Cambodia, Middle east( Erbil, Baghad and UAE), Indonesia and Phillippine.

Currently my family are using NIV Bible to do our daily quiet time with God and we find the NIV very details and accurate... sometime i compare it with KJV..hehehe you can check this

    http://www.ibs.org/niv/passagesearch...option=columns

No offend , bro and sis i have nothing against KJV . As i told you we been doing for 19 years reading NIV Bible and we grew spirtually and closer in God's inspiration word. We of course can see that God is blessing us daily like our prayer been answered one by one, safetly biz trips in unsafe countries and also my kids are study the bible and want Jesus to be their Lord in matter of time.

I like to share with you bro and sis, after long time as disciple of Jesus, my bible study is aliitle bore and i had read the whole Bible over 15 x and wrote on my QT bible study journel are getting stale. Sometime i tried to read other Bibles to get more insights but find still alittle stale. Can you guys , bro and sis who are veterans in this area can help me thru to have great QT bible study. Please do understand the KJV is little too steep to understand as the old English is not pratically use in our daily converstion. Well if you have any idea to improve my Bible study. To let you know my fav book are Psalm, Proverbs, and all NT books. The OT is more to understand God's warth and intentions but i find the NT is Jesus's encouringing, full of love ,grace and lots of rules been relax ...

    forgive me..my English arent good....

Hope to hear you guys....To God be the glory

    love you always in christ

Re: Hi this Eddy, truly malayisan!

Friend, you are lucky, we just started a "Bible in a year" task here.

We are on day six, so you don't have much catching up to do.

The sticky in the forum will tell you all about it.

I urge you to get rid of your NIV bible, it is of the devil.

Friend, all you need to do to know your bible is a lie is read John 3:16. John 3:16 may be the most popular verse in the bible, but in the NIV, it has a built in lie.

    *going from my memory*
The KJV1611 has John 3:16 saying "only begotten son".

The NIV says "one and only son".

So how is that a lie?

Just look up Luke 3:38, (yes, it's buried in the begats, which they assume you will not read). What does it say in the NIV?

    the son of Enosh,
the son of Seth, the son of Adam,
    the son of God.

Did you see that, in John 3:16, it says "one and only son" then in Luke, it says that Adam was the son of God.

Friend, that's a contradiction. You are putting your faith in a book that has a flaw. Shouldn't you be asking what else is wrong with it, instead of saying "it's easier to read"?

Re: Hi this Eddy, truly malayisan!

I am more than a little concerned for your immortal soul, friend. The NIV "Bible" is full of subtle yet heretical doctrinal changes carefully calculated to pervert the meaning of God's word.

I ask you to please read this article.

I recommend sticking with the KJV. If you pray before you read, and ask the Holy Spirit to help you understand, you will have no problems with the old English.

Your kids would enjoy The Brick Testament. This site has Bible stories colorfully illustrated by Lego bricks. It's not complete yet, but Reverend Brendan Powell Smith is full of the Holy Spirit, and he adds new stories on a frequent basis.

I'm not sure where you get the idea that the rules are somehow relaxed in the New Testament. We are still required to keep the Old Testament laws.

      Matthew 5:19
Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.

Romans 3:31 Do we then make void the law through faith? God forbid: yea, we establish the law.

James 2:10 For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.

I am so glad that the Holy Spirit has led you to our forum, friend. God is so Good!

And that's all 613 of the commandments! (coincidentally I'm currently planning a study of the 613 Mitzvot; but that's probably going to be next month sometime).

          Hi folks,

Thank you for the fast reply...Pastor Billy-Reuben.

Wow! that pretty close. And you saying this NIV is abomination book,

I never thought that NIV misleading...and nevertheless, but it did help me to understand God better.

Pastor Billy, what am trying to say..the NT is more relax in terms like no more sabbath days rituals like lamb burn sacrifices or perform Feast of trumpets, weeks, tabernacles and so on. in the Book of Lev has instructed us to deal things like handling everyday problems concerning cleanliness, offering scrifices, worshipping and observe specials holidays and even forbid pork which has 2 hoofed( uncleaned animals) Lev 11 :7....my fav food. Jesus has mentioned that He is the Lord of OT and everything . So so much more...thanks Jesus..He let me have my pork dinner daily.

Ok , i will try to read KJV thru bro V's bible in year..hope this will help me..

          hope to hear you

                Dear Pastor Billy,

Share with you what I know:

Hmm...pretty strong accusations by the writer. Well for what I know the record the NIV Bible was created in the 1970s way before HarperCollins supposedly bought Zondervan (still have to verify this) in 1988. So it's pretty unlikely that it was deliberately translated to promote the beliefs of some entity that promotes homosexuality.

As for the other arguments...it seems the writer takes the King James Version as the only gospel truth. That is not the case, as there are translations other than NIV and KJV that are more literal interpretations of the original text. NIV is of the principle of dynamic equivance, which means thought for thought translation, rather than word for word or verbatim translation. One can even read in the foreword of NIV Bibles that the translators admit that it is not a fool-proof translation (nothing is).

                In 2 Peter 20 -21 KJV

20Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.
21For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.

                In NIV

20Above all, you must understand that no prophecy of Scripture came about by the prophet's own interpretation. 21For prophecy never had its origin in the will of man, but men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit

So to me as long as the Bible translation is true to the spirit of the gospel then it's OK. There is no perfect translation but from most Bibles the doctrinal truths are clear (about Jesus' life, the way to salvation, etc.) and to me that's all that I need )

I 'll take KJV as study reference . As I have learnt that KJV consists of many flaws, especially it was translated by (or rather copied by) a single person as compared to NIV which was written and discussed among many denominations. There will be no end if one wants to find fault in detail.

The important thing is to trust and believe God is in control and obey his words in our daily life.

I'm well aware that there are many other "translations" and "interpretations" of the Bible. However, I haven't run across any that didn't contain mistranslations, contradictions, and bad doctrine.

The KJV has no flaws. The translators were divinely inspired, and they were mere pens in the hands of the Holy Spirit.

I will certainly agree with that, friend. But to obey His words, you have to know what they really are.

Upon request I will cite scripture for all these facts in God's Holy Word.

✝ This is a Christian community and we worship GOD of the Holy bible, the only Living GOD. We worship Jesus Christ, Son of GOD and Savior. Anything else is absurd. ✝

                          Hi Pastor Ezekiel,

This isnt nice to say that i read false Bible, without the God's Word . I wont get this far as a christian.

But at least, God allow me to seek Him and to find Him so that I will be saved and washed my sins away thru the blood of Lord Jesus Christ who shedded for me.

To let you know, i have obey the Book of Matthew 28:18-20 and Book of Acts very closely in my heart. I have baptised at least 36 lost souls to Christ for the past 6 years by study the Bible with them and saw them changed to awesome christians who love God so much and I still reaching out for more lost souls .

Anyway, you Pastor Ezekiel, I dont really blame you as I'm still a Unsaved Trash in your eyes but this dont bother me as I'm in the different part of the world .Praise to be God. At least i rather focus on God's glory to gain strenght in Him rather than facing sarcasm remarks from mere men who hurl many abusive words to whose to seek God in this forum.

Forgive my bluntness, bros but as the Bible command us to speak the truth with love, whatever if the brother sinned against you.

Thanks for your gracious, Pastor Ezekiel.

                          love you always in christ

Dammit, what is HAPPENING to Asia? Malasia is under Antichrist occupation, and just after this Chicom atrocity:

China imposes consumption tax on disposable and luxury items

The Ministry of Finance said the plan has been approved by the Chinese Government and was designed to control and regulate energy consumption, help protect the environment by reducing consumption of timber resources, and narrow the gap between the poor and the rich by collecting a consumption tax on the luxury items.

MacArthur was right: nuke the bastards! As long as my summer home is upwind of the fallout, of course.

China will collect a 5 percent consumption tax on disposable wooden chopsticks in a bid to discourage their use as they are a waste of timber resources, said the ministry.

The production of disposable chopsticks uses up China's forests at a rate of 1.3 million cubic meters of timber or 2 million cubic meters of wood each year, the ministry said.

Now look, it's good and well to teach the savages to use a knife and fork like civilized people, but I need those chopsticks for poking my maids and various staff when I want them to do something. They don't understand english and I don't want to touch them directly for fear of contamination, so a good poke from a chopstick works wonders.

China will also impose a 5 percent tax on wooden floor panels to discourage the consumption of timber resources. It will also institute a 10 percent tax on yachts, golf balls and golf clubs, and a 20 percent tax on luxury watches, it said.

China will collect a consumption tax on naphtha....

That naphtha tax is obviously aimed at my latest educational toy, "Make-your-own Vietcong village". I mean, come on, the instructions state that the napalm should only be mixed under adult supervision. Why must the nanny-state intervene all the time?

The liberals whined endlessly when a few hippies got what was coming to them in Tienamen Square, yet where's the outrage about this example of totalitarian oppression? Where's the outrage?

The point of that part of the article whey you buy a NIV Bible now, the money goes to support an entity that publishes how-to books on Homosexuality and the Satanic Bible.

Do you think it is a coincidence that the KJV is the ONLY English language Bible that is not owned and copywrited by Harper Collins or one of its subsidiaries?

eddy planer: As for the other arguments...it seems the writer takes the King James Version as the only gospel truth.
I'm well aware that there are many other "translations" and "interpretations" of the Bible. However, I haven't run across any that didn't contain mistranslations, contradictions, and bad doctrine.

eddy planer: As I have learnt that KJV consists of many flaws, especially it was translated by (or rather copied by) a single person as compared to NIV which was written and discussed among many denominations. There will be no end if one wants to find fault in detail.

The KJV has no flaws. The translators were divinely inspired, and they were mere pens in the hands of the Holy Spirit.
