  • Hi

My name is Robert and i'm 20 years. I live in The Hague which lies in the Netherlands. I always thought i was a True Christian™, because i attend the church every week, read the Bible everyday and underwent a baptism.

Now that I've followed this forum for some time, i understand that i don't know anything at all! My church which is an evangelical one, only shares about the love of God! The church also to encourage us to read the New Testament. So i was shocked to read the thread about rapes are ok.

    This one: http://www.landoverbaptist.net/showthread.php?t=50

I will continue my search for God on this forum, hope the Holy Spirit will guide me and reveal the full truth to me. Maybe someday I will be able to become a True Christian™.

Please teach me accordingly to the Word of God.
Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.

    Re: Hi

Where have you seen us say that "rape is ok"? That's outrageous. All we've ever said is that we must follow the Holy Word of God in all things.

What false church do you attend? I feel sorry for you, boy. I'm so happy that Jesus has called you here to get the Danish demons out of your colon.
    Who Will Jesus Damn?

Sorry, my choice of words are not the best. Yes, I definitely agree that we must follow the Word of God in all things and i never considered that rape might be one of those things.

I won't dare to say my church name, i'm afraid they will find out and then ban or kill me for finding out this truth

Thank Jesus for bringing me here. Oh my name is Unworthy, because I'm unworthy to get saved by Jesus.

We are all unworthy, sinner, but those who reject demonic false churches and follow the perfection of His Holy Word as written in the KJV1611 may yet be saved. Platinum tithing also helps.

          Re: Hi

Are you here looking for an excuse to rape? Are you attempting to twist the Bible so you'll feel okay about raping?

          The rules are (Deuteronomy 22)

          For men:
If the woman is betrothed, you die
If the woman is not betrothed, you must pay the bride price and marry the girl, unless the father refuses, in which case you must still pay the bride price.

          For women:
If you are betrothed and raped in the country, you are innocent
If you are betrothed and raped in the city, you are guilty and should die
If you are not betrothed, you are expected to marry your rapist.

Now there's the pesky little issue of secular law, so rapists go to prison instead of being stoned to death. One of the simplest way of protecting your daughters is to arrange a marriage as soon as possible. She doesn't have to be married, just betrothed (engaged).

I really don't know how to break it down any simpler. The marriage to the rapist is in order to protect the woman and possible child because she will now have a man to take care of her, and the man is punished by having to spend the rest of his life with her. He is NOT allowed to divorce her, ever.

The wisdom of our LORD and care for people is truly amazing. I always thought this only reveals in the New Testament when Jesus came to earth and died for our sins. I would have never thought about protection of the possible child. Our God understands us so much better than ourselves. He knows exactly what we need!

But ehhhh.... how does God define 'country' and 'city' in Deuteronomy?

Gday von Unworthy, how the bloody hell are ya?

BelieverInGod has wisely directed us to the wonderful instructions of the LORD as found in Deuteronomy chapter 22, wherein we see the LORD'S compassion for he knoweth that the damsel raped in the "field" neither by her shouts nor her screams, could attract the attention of any person for to come forth and rescue her for there was nobody except the damsel and the attacker there.

This evening's message from the KJV, Deuteronomy 22:30: "A man shall not take his father's wife, nor discover has father's skirt."

Good luck in the World Cup Unworthy, I have a special interest in Holland v Australia games. (Cos I am very good friends with another von)

I am appalled that youi would suggest, in your perverse foreign way, that rape is an acceptable behavior for anyone other than blackies and Eurotrash. Rape is only sanctioned by God when it is absolutely necessary, such as in the following story:
Judges 21:10-24 (King James Version 1611)
10And the congregation sent thither twelve thousand men of the valiantest, and commanded them, saying, Go and smite the inhabitants of Jabeshgilead with the edge of the sword, with the women and the children.
11And this is the thing that ye shall do, Ye shall utterly destroy every male, and every woman that hath lain by man.
12And they found among the inhabitants of Jabeshgilead four hundred young virgins, that had known no man by lying with any male: and they brought them unto the camp to Shiloh, which is in the land of Canaan.
13And the whole congregation sent some to speak to the children of Benjamin that were in the rock Rimmon, and to call peaceably unto them.
14And Benjamin came again at that time; and they gave them wives which they had saved alive of the women of Jabeshgilead: and yet so they sufficed them not.
15And the people repented them for Benjamin, because that the LORD had made a breach in the tribes of Israel.
16Then the elders of the congregation said, How shall we do for wives for them that remain, seeing the women are destroyed out of Benjamin?
17And they said, There must be an inheritance for them that be escaped of Benjamin, that a tribe be not destroyed out of Israel.
18Howbeit we may not give them wives of our daughters: for the children of Israel have sworn, saying, Cursed be he that giveth a wife to Benjamin.
19Then they said, Behold, there is a feast of the LORD in Shiloh yearly in a place which is on the north side of Bethel, on the east side of the highway that goeth up from Bethel to Shechem, and on the south of Lebonah.
                    20Therefore they commanded the children of Benjamin, saying, Go and lie in wait in the vineyards;
21And see, and, behold, if the daughters of Shiloh come out to dance in dances, then come ye out of the vineyards, and catch you every man his wife of the daughters of Shiloh, and go to the land of Benjamin.
22And it shall be, when their fathers or their brethren come unto us to complain, that we will say unto them, Be favourable unto them for our sakes: because we reserved not to each man his wife in the war: for ye did not give unto them at this time, that ye should be guilty.
23And the children of Benjamin did so, and took them wives, according to their number, of them that danced, whom they caught: and they went and returned unto their inheritance, and repaired the cities, and dwelt in them. 24And the children of Israel departed thence at that time, every man to his tribe and to his family, and they went out from thence every man to his inheritance.
