Greetings all. This is Catholic Guy. Yes, I am a believer in Catholicism. I'm just hoping to abolish some of the misconceptions about the Catholic Church. While it has done bad things in the past, and some Priests have heavily sinned before, not all of us are destined to rot in Hell. As Christians, we should try to lead those that do not believe to Jesus Christ. If they won't come, there is no reason to bash their religion. I don't bash other Christians, Muslims, etc. just because they're not Catholic.

Shouldn't we love everyone in the whole world, regardless of religion?

You acknowledge the Catlick church as done "bad things in the past." Indeed - like oppose every advancement in science for 2000 years and torture to death or threaten to do so with anyone who proposed the earth was round, or revolves around the sun, etc. You say this is "in the past" but your church will not even admit its errors and apologize for them - even it's acknowledgement of error in the matter of Galileo 500 years too late did not contain a word of contrition.

And contrary to your assertion that the evils of your church are in the past...OH, PLEASE! Forget the priestly kid rape charges for a moment and the systematic, worldwide coverup of same. It is a well-documented fact that more than a few Catlick aid workers in Africa tell the hapless natives that condoms cause AIDS. The fact that the Church will not participate in birth control and condemns it as a sin translated into sentencing millions, at best, to a short life of privation and misery.

Your Mother Teresa is on the fast-track for sainthood, just as soon as the church can conjure up two phony 'miracles' she performed - blasphemy of a high order. This was an evil woman who hobnobbed with dictators in her native Albania, a woman who knowingly took tainted money from criminals, who refused to open the books to account for tens of millions of dollars in donations while the diseased and dying mouldered on army cots in her so-called clinics - the cancer patients dying in excruciating pain while being denied anything but aspirin. A woman whose own notes said that for more than 40 years she didn't experience God's presence - a fact your church has tried to spin into a beautiful story of faith !

I note an article in my local paper today that says catlick women in America take birth control in the same proportionate number as secular women, despite it being a mortal sin. They commit crimes and get divorced (by obtaining a church writ of hocus-pocus on wink-and-a-nod annulment grounds....) at the same rate as secular folks. Given these facts, how dare your church claim to be THE moral authority on Earth. How does your leadership and much of the membership, with a straight face, condemn everyone but catlicks to hell? (They DO do this, you know). What do you MEAN the church doesn't slander other faiths? It sounds like you haven't spent five minutes around them.

The church is so morally bankrupt they can't even get American priests to fill American churches, and have to rely on importing third-world holy men.

The catlicks smug insistence that the Pope in Rome is infallible is demonstrably false, unless you are recommending our kids join the local neo-nazi party like Ratzinger did when he was a kid, except it wasn't just 'neo' then. A fine example of infallibility. Really, where do you pick these infallible people - like your 13th century ones and many others throughout history? How many were there in that century, as they had each other bumped off like today's Mafia chiefs so they could reap the profits? Why was a long period of history called the Dark Ages? How many popes had concubines and fathered children? How many infallible popes enriched themselves at the expense of their dirt-poor parishioners?

These are not isolated incidents but rather 20 centuries of hubris, lies, fraud, and hypocrisy.

I haven't really even begun here, but in the interests of a golf date I will end this for now. You get the idea.
