  • A wandering soul says hello.

    Hello.

I'm not here to type out a lovely story of my favorite verse, or how I found Jesus.

I am here to say hello. I'm here to try to understand Christianity better. Sometimes I feel as though I may have strayed from the religious aspects of life. I no longer attend church or any of its functions, where as in one point of my life, I did.

Seeing the posts of many people on here, and many things said about controversial aspects of modern life, I can't help but feel that we as people are twisting the words of God.

Day after day, "esteemed" members of the church say things that I'm sure God would never want anyone to say or feel. He wants us to love one another, and live our lives close to his word. Whether it has to do with homosexuality, or other religions. There is no reason anyone of us should be able to sit here and call one another Heathans, or 'Unsaved Trash'.

Long story short. I'm a wandering soul, trying to find reasons in life. If this is one of the places, where I'll get bad-talked for my ideals, and ways of thinking, or even for just who I am, I'll gladly leave. If not though, I'd love to talk to you more, though my questions may lay heavily on some.

    So, what do you want?

I don't have any problems with anyone here. I just think that bad talking one another over things never needs to happen.

I just want to find a place where I may say hello, and be able to talk to people about the religion and God himself. You could just say I "Lost my faith" and am looking for a way to get it back.

        I hear you brother.

Unless it is a direct quote from the King James bible, it is NOT God's word.

Praise Jesus that you have found Landover Baptist Church where we do believe in the bible as it is written.

No fluffy bunny interpretations. Just the unadultarated word of God.

How to get faith back. It's easy, just forget any and all doubts.

Faith requires belief. Faith doesn't require knowledge. In fact faith requires a lack of knowing.

          Take the following statement.

I have faith that my wife isn't cheating on me.

Do you KNOW? Or are you just assuming? Faith is that assumption. Even with faith, it's possible that your wife IS cheating on you.

          Now look at this statement.

I know that my wife isn't cheating on me.

Are they the same statement? No, faith and knowing are two different things. How do you know your wife isn't cheating, because you follow her 24/7, that's about the only way to really know.

How does this relate to your relationship with God?

Until you die, you will never KNOW if God is real. There are people, who will make you try to doubt his existence. There are those who will tell you that He's something different (like muslims, catholics, wiccans...). Or you can believe and have faith in the guy who's given us one perfect book to get to know Him, and that's the guy in the KJV1611.

So, to sum up, you can never KNOW, until it's too late. You have to believe and have faith, right up until then.

We are saved True Christians™, you are, as far as we can tell, an unsaved heathen come here to persecute us. If I am wrong, I apologize. But I'll bet you dollars to donuts that I'm right. Prove me wrong by telling us how correctly we follow God's Word, the KJV 1611.

Thank you Sister Charli. I find myself conflicted with what I was taught, and what is said in modern times. I came here trying to see if I could find some pure completely unbiased opinions on matters.

Most would suggest just going to my local pastor and asking there, but even there, I get different responses.

So you do have a local church? Is it Baptist?

Tell us about how/where you found Jesus?

Right here is a perfect example. I have no experience on these forums. I come here asking for some advice on how to find faith, and instead I get people doubting my purpose here.

No where did I say I was persecuting people. When I saw we as a people are twisting the words of God, I'm not pointing fingers. I'm saying the entirety of the planet.

Asking me to have to PROVE anything is unfair.

And to you Brother V, I thank you on the advice and wisdom.

I live in a city, unfortunately churches are few and far between, though I have been to almost all. Baptist or not, I go in seeking complete pure advice on the knowledge of God, and not on the basis of one's religion.

I was introduced to Jesus as a child, through my mother. I have since moved away from my family, seeking answers in life.

I understand some may take the above statement as, "He's not a True Christian!" or "He's not a Baptist! He's a heathen!"

I apologize if it seems that way. I am simply a wandering soul seeking help and answers.

So then you do agree with the True Christians™ here that the KJV 1611 Bible is the perfect and inerrant Word of God that must be followed TO THE LETTER if you want to attain eternal life with Jesus? If so, just say so and I will apologize

It is OK Indifferent. Many folk spend endless years in the wilderness wandering aimlessly before God eventually directs them to the Landover Baptist Church for the answers.

I must apologize, in that I have never read the KJV 1611, being out of the religious world for so long, I am quite literally just returning. Regardless, if I did, apologies would not be necessary. I am just unable to convey my words properly, and may have misguided you to believe I was here to persecute.

Re: A wandering soul says hello.

Hey buddy, I hear ya. I was a wandering soul once and I mean literally. Still am. I was working in a traveling carnival before I was Saved. It was a pretty bad life, I'll admit. I'd wake up at 6 am, open up a new bottle of Jack and start guzzling, get to work on construction and maintenance, drink a little more, then when people would arrive I'd operate rides. After my shift was over I'd usually go drink some more or find some diseased slut to spend my evening with. Believe me I was unhappy! It was like i had no idea what to do with my life so i tried filling that void with whiskey and dirty women.

Now I am happy traveling the road doing my Christian clown ministry and puppet shows. I delight bringing children and adults a relationship with Jesus Christ.

But dont give up hope because sometimes Jesus sends people on meandering missions so they can learn. All my life was a big lesson for me. In fact, I think God probably brought you here to this church website to open your eyes. There are literally BILLIONS of websites online around the world....and you came to this one today. That cannot be a coincidence!
