It is believed that between 1850 and 1910 more than one million Swedes moved to the United States. In the early 20th century, more Swedes lived in Chicago than in Gothenburg (Sweden's second largest city). Most Swedish immigrants moved to the Midwestern United States, with a large population in Minnesota.

Vikings are brutal warriors that lived in Scandinavia.

Scandinavians are either Norse, Danes, Swedes, Finlanders and icelanders.

Now viking can mean BOTH brutal warriors and Scandinavians

but Scandinavians and Brutal warriors are 2 different things!

There were no Vikings when your father was alive, the reason so many left Sweden in the early 1900th is because they were too poor, and America was a land of oppurtunity which where they could start a new life. I never mentioned your father but be sure to ask him.

Oh and the thousand year old photograph is a remake on how it looked back then. I would say this picture is 10-5 years old!
