I am currently living in Oswaldtwistle, Lancashire, England, which is a quaint old Cotton Town with many historical and religious connections. For instance it is rumoured that in the nineteenth century a Brotherhood of Monks called 'The Little Brothers of the shrivelled Members' lived in a Cave on the hillside overlooking the Town !, but I digress...
Last week as I was walking past a now-derelict building which once housed the Vats and Implements used by the poor of the parish to prepare and bottle Pickled Onions i was surprised to see floating in the air around it's ramshackle
Smokestack (AS you would no doubt put it in Ohio!!) several ethereal shapes which. as I looked more closely appeared to be human Females with wings on their backs !. Naturally I was taken aback by the sight, and actually cleaned my spectacles to assurs myself that I was not hallucinating !.
The vision didn't last too long as, with a final circuit of the Chimney and calling out to me 'Balaam believe!' they disappeared vertically into the gathering gloom, leaving me both bewildered and shattered !.
Quite naturally I immediately made mt way to the Local Ebenezer baptist Church, and sought out their Pastor (Although he prefers to be called Father !)...The Reverend Willie Smelling .
He pointed out to me that as there had never been a sighting of Angels of any Sex or Shape in Oswaldtwistle that what I had seen was actually a UFO disguised as an Angel (s) !!. Of course I countered his argument with all the intellectual strength and vigour that I could muster, but all he could do was to threaten to physically abuse me if I continued with this blasphemy !!. As he is at least six inches taller than I, and a powerful physical specimen..I withdrew (If you will pardon the expression !).
Now I am on the horns of a dilemma !...do I trust the evidence of my eyes and like ABBA 'Believe in Angels'...or do I take the word and admonition of Pastor Smelling...and believe in UFO's ??.
In closing I must add that at that time I had not inhaled, injected, sniffed or ingested in any way any of those chemical substances which, I believe, can make one see things that aren'e actually there !!.
Can any of my transatlantic Brothers and Sisters offer me any advice regarding this strange occurrence, which is now affecting my sleep patterns....The Angels now put in a nightly appearance in my every dream !!...stimulating me in a way that no UFO could possibly do !
