well guess what i neer read the bible, all i know about god and the such was what i was told in church.
That would be why you think it's OK to pray to Jesus' dead mother, and to believe that crackers and wine become human flesh and blood in your tummy.

i know that "neighbour" is anyone around you

ever heard of the "good samaritan"
You wish to define "neighbour" on the basis of the parable of the Good Samaritan? Very well. In that case, your definition is horribly wrong.

As Jesus pointed out at the end of the parable, the Samaritan was the only one of the men passing by who was a neighbour to the robbed man. In other words, a neighbour is SOMEONE WHO HELPS YOU. Not "anyone around you".

what im saying is, you don't have to be a bible-thumping hater to be saved.
No, you have to read the entire Bible so you know what God's commands are, and then you have to follow them.

They're COMMANDS, not suggestions, not requests.

you say i should kill my gay friend... why? because an old book says so.
No, because God's Word says so. The book from which everything you can know of God and Jesus is learned.

I was always taught that god is LOVE, so why should i abandon my love of a friend and do what a book says and kill him?
Because you were taught lies that are not supported by Scripture. God is an all-powerful deity who created the universe, not an abstract concept of "love". If you were to read the Bible, you'd know He hates many more than He loves.

anyway, i believe that god is LOVE and if not, then i am damned and im content with that.
That's because you think you will go to "purgatory", a concept which does not exist in Scripture. There is only Heaven or Hell. Hell is not Dante's vision of amusingly ironic punishments; it is a vast lake of fire in which you will burn for all eternity, without dying, without any possibility of escape.

I don't care what some dusty old book AKA "the bible" says, i do what i believe is right and that is all that matters to me.
Then why are you a Catholic? Don't you know that your Pope thinks homosexuals should be excommunicated, condoms increase the spread of the AIDS, birth control is murder and should be illegal, and that attempting to ordain a woman a priest is a high crime equal to a priest raping children? (Go to CNN or some news site and do a little homework.)

if you want the church to be strong again,
then open your heart, put the book down and say "i believe because i choose to" instead of
"god demands that you believe or you will burn!"
So, you want us to lie?

Landover Baptist Church IS strong. It is the corrupt and decadent Catholic cult that is failing, as well it should.

i went to church because the priest told us not to judge others for what their faith or race is, or even sexuality..

he told me that i should follow my heart and look beyond the surface.

i do that, and if i am damned for it then i say "bring on the flames!"
Believe what you choose, but in the name of intellectual honesty, please stop calling it Christianity.

bettsyboy, I have not said anything in this topic so far as I was letting these people explain to you the true nature of christianity, as you can see it is not something that glorifies God. Christianity knows very little about the TRUTH, are you now ready to learn THE TRUTH?

But how do you know? Does she follow the Bible to the letter? If she doesn't, then whats keeping her from spreading her legs for whatever boy sits next to her in your 9th grade math class?

I'll say it again. Repent friend! You and Natsucki need to follow the Bible to the letter or you will spend an eternity in Hell!

I am not a redneck. I come from Denmarkia where there are no rednecks. I find it repulsive that you think in stereotypes.

    expand your mind.
Why do I need to think for myself when God, who is a lot smarter than me, tells me what to think?

and "saving" someone from damnation by forcing religion down their throuts?

i dunno... would jesus have wanted that? forcing it into people rather than letting them accept it themselves?
I don't force anything down anywhere. I lay out the facts so that people can choose for themselves. You can't save someone who doesn't want to be saved.

Maybe you should have gone to the right type of country. Scotland, South Africa or maybe even Godless Canada. It's really not worth the effort griping about foreign names if you don't do the research first.

That is not how "neighbour" is defined in the parable of the good Samaritan. The evidence is staring you right in the face, and yet you refuse to recognize it.

Friend, we are only pointing out that fornicating with that chink will NOT get you to heaven, and there's no need to use rude names, OK? This is a Christian forum.

Question: how do you know who Jesus was, or what He did?

you know what, i give up on you all

you refuse to face reality and prefer to say "god, god, god" in the hopes that the old man/woman will notice you.

and i'm out, rest assured that the only reason i came here was to tell you what you truly are.

    you fanatical racist hypocrytes.

ps: shes not a harlot, shes part of the 0.01%... and no matter what you say, that wont change it

think about what i told you today... its more than mere insults
    and gooooooood byeeee!

That 'old book' happens to contain the Word of God so it is He who tells you to!

I don't wanna hear about your lovemaking with your gay friend... It disgusts me.

and i love Natsuki my girlfriend
Natsuki... is that some kind of japanese vacuum cleaner brand? Why on earth would you have a vacuum cleaner as a girlfriend? Perve...

i don't care what some dusty old book AKA "the bible" says, i do what i believe is right and that is all that matters to me.
you'll care when God sends you to Hell:

    Psalm 11:6
Upon the wicked he shall rain snares, fire and brimstone, and an horrible tempest: this shall be the portion of their cup
ps: its fanatics like you who encourage death to gays and interacial couples that are driving youth away from churches.
It is people like me who save people from eternal damnation.

if you want the church to be strong again,
then open your heart, put the book down and say "i believe because i choose to" instead of
"god demands that you believe or you will burn!"
Putting the book down seems more like a guide on how to get to Hell.

    Lycia

if you go to heaven for keeping yourself enthralled in the bible and church, then i say "well done"

i choose to see the world for what it is with my own eyes, and i will choose how i worship god.

i will worship by helping, not by preaching.
i will spread my love through my actions, like with my time with Natsuki
and i swear, if some fanatic like you all would insult her to my face i would floor you in a second
