    Repentant soul

I was a Christian as a younger woman and fell into the sins of the world as well as the flesh. I have only recently recommitted my life to Christ, in a funny twist of fate it was my daughter who opened my eyes with her faith and love of the Lord, that I turned my life around. She always disliked the things I did. She asked me to buy her a Bible one day and would quote verses that she knew I needed to know and finally talked me into going to church.

Amen and welcome! Tell us some of you favorite verses.
Christians are superior because we possess an understanding that unbelievers lack. It is through the Power of Jesus only the converted mind is able to understand what is going on in the world; what the Communists are really up to; what Satan's intentions are. Most unbelievers do not even believe in Satan and cannot understand his tactics.

One of my favorites in in my signature line, well, part of the verse anyway.
I can't quote it from memory entirely but John 3:16 is another favorite. As I stated before I've only recently recommitted my life to Christ after years and years of sin, I am having to relearn everything I have forgotten as well as forsaken.

Those are two good verses, but they are often misused.

Matthew 7:1 is judge not lest ye be judged.

You should read further into the chapter. It merely speaks of hypocritical judgment.

Here is one that speaks to the fact that me may judge.

1 Corinthians 2:15 But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man.
It fits in nicely with my signature, don't you think?

I do love John 3:16, but it really doesn't cover all of Christianity. So many Christians use it as a turn key solution to Christianity. Just believe and you are in. When Mark 16:16 tells us,

16He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.

Then, there is also Romans 1, where Paul lays out a long list of the types of people who will perish.

29Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers,
30Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,
31Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful:

32Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.
Christians are superior because we possess an understanding that unbelievers lack. It is through the Power of Jesus only the converted mind is able to understand what is going on in the world; what the Communists are really up to; what Satan's intentions are. Hello, and welcome! It is good to see that you have decided to walk the narrow path to salvation rather than the wide road to Hell.

If you ever have trouble remembering scripture off the top of your head, you can find a copy of the King James Version Bible here.
"Whether of them twain did the will of his father? They say unto him, The first. Jesus saith unto them, Verily I say unto you, That the publicans and the harlots go into the kingdom of God before you. For John came unto you in the way of righteousness, and ye believed him not: but the publicans and the harlots believed him: and ye, when ye had seen it, repented not afterward, that ye might believe him." Matthew 21:31-32

Thank you, I will save that link for future use, My daughter keeps her Bible with her constantly, I believe she even sleeps with it, She won't listen to anything except Christian music and has even converted a few of her friends to the Baptist and all of this has been on her own, Sadly I was a bad parent and never took her to church until a couple of years ago when SHE took an interest in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I truly believe I has an amazing little girl, Her brother is starting to follow in her footsteps and I couldn't be more pleased with them.

Oh my word, You're making me have to think now. Although I'd have to say I like this one mainly because in my opinion it talks of hypocrisy and if there was ever too much of something hypocrisy is one of them.

I am curious, why no mention of your husband and your sons.
Isaiah 45:7 I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.
Amos 3:6 Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be afraid? shall there be evil in a city, and the LORD hath not done it?
Numbers 21:6 And the LORD sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people; and much people of Israel died.
Matthew 10:34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.
Matthew 10:35 For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.
Matthew 10:36 And a man's foes shall be they of his own household.

How silly of me, Yes, I am married I have been for a great many years, I sadly have but one son and a daughter with whom we were only blessed with 11 and 8 years ago. I sadly can no longer procreate as I have sinned a great number of times and God has seen fit to smite me with a punishment of being infertile.

I'm still trying to figure that all out, but I would imagine it had a lot to do with the job I had in the Adult Entertainment Industry a few years back. This is something I'm not proud of and neither is my family. My husband hangs his head in shame for allowing me to do this and who knows he might be infertile as well for allowing me to defile my body in such a degrading manner. I accept my punishment, I don't like it, but I accept it. I just wish to get back to Christ's everlasting love as I was as a younger woman

Is there really a difference? From what I have been learning with my Pastor both are sins. I was what they call an exotic dancer aka stripper. Part of my "job" was to get drunk with some rather questionable men. I was the cause of a lot of men sinning and being unfaithful to their families. That behavior leads to all kinds of lust of the flesh.
