My name is Manuelo. I am from Hermosillo Mexico. I have just been led to Jesus by two wonderful missionaries from America. Thanks to them I know the love of my savior Jesus Christ. No longer will I follow the evil ways of my catholic country and family. Every day I pray to Jesus for forgiveness for being Hispanic, and thank him for taking me anyway. Thank You Jesus, and thank you Landover Baptist Church. I hope that here I may grow in the word of God and be guided by the wisdom of my brothers and sisters in Christ.

You needn't ask God's forgiveness for being born Hispanic... that's simply a burden you have to bear, as a result of some unforgivable transgression on the part of one of your progenitors. You are personally blameless in this. It's a lot like blaming a crack baby or a siamese twin for their birth defects. Yes, you are a wetback but, with help, you can still learn to live a somewhat productive, happy life. Just do so in Mexico, please. You don't need to come to America.

I also want to be sure that you mean what you say about Catholicism. You have a lot of things to formally reject and renounce: baptism of children, sacrament of confession, authority found in that church's hierarchy, the literal belief that the wafer IS Christ, all oaths of loyalty or allegiance to the church, the concepts of purgatory and indulgences, Mary worship, belief in the power of saints, the pope's authority, all prayers said with rosary in hand, and more.

Do you reject these blasphemies? Can you turn your back on what amounts to both culture and religion for you?
