  • Should religion not be celebrated?

Maybe i have a rather naive view on religion and maybe i have not memorized the Bible chapter by chapter.
I never thought it was something that i had to memorize, i thought that in times of questioning life or existence it was something you read as you go along and maybe even enjoy.

I have seen some rather horrible stuff said on this forum and it looks to me as if you mourn religion, not celebrate it.
I am sure i will be called a trouble maker and outcast as a non believer but,, my beliefs are a lot more positive than yours.

I might say "oh my God" in times of fear or laughter, but never in anger..

We should celebrate every day that we get the honor to worship Christ!

Who are you to question Allah (pbuh)?

Unbelievers like you act like the jinn trying to enchant others not to follow Allah(pbuh).

Take time to read these passages from The Holy Quran.

      SURA 10.
      2. What! is it a wonder to the people that We revealed to a man from among themselves, saying: Warn the people and give good news to those who believe that theirs is a footing of firmness with their Lord. The unbelievers say: This is most surely a manifest enchanter.

      SURA 19.
      83. Do you not see that We have sent the Shaitans against the unbelievers, inciting them by incitement?
      84. Therefore be not in haste against them, We only number out to them a number [of days].
      SURA 1
      2. All praise is due to Allah, the Lord of the Worlds.
      3. The Beneficent, the Merciful.

        Brother,

How can you possibly approach life if you have NOT memorized the KJV1611 by puberty? To just "wing it" and then try to find out why what you did was wrong by trying to "look it up" in the Bible is a recipe for disaster, failure and pain.

It doesn't take as long to memorize as you might think, especially if you have already accepted Christ as your Savior. The Holy Spirit makes it a quick read when you truly understand what God meant in every precious word.

        In Christ!
Matthew 19:14 "But Jesus said, Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven."

Silence Devil! The man had questions about the Holy Bible, not the scribbles of a misfit living in a cave.

How dare you try to poison a man seeking the Truth with blasphemy!

Well, that's your problem. Christianity isn't about what you want, it's about what Christ wants.

But do they have any connection with God?
O Lord our God, help us to tear their soldiers to bloody shreds with our shells; help us to cover their smiling fields with the pale forms of their patriot dead; help us to drown the thunder of the guns with the shrieks of their wounded, writhing in pain; help us to lay waste their humble homes with a hurricane of fire; help us to wring the hearts of their unoffending widows with unavailing grief; help us to turn them out roofless with little children to wander unfriended the wastes of their desolated land in rags and hunger and thirst, sports of the sun flames of summer and the icy winds of winter, broken in spirit, worn with travail, imploring Thee for the refuge of the grave and denied it--for our sakes who adore Thee, Lord, blast their hopes, blight their lives, protract their bitter pilgrimage, make heavy their steps, water their way with their tears, stain the white snow with the blood of their wounded feet! We ask it, in the spirit of love, of Him Who is the Source of Love, and Who is the ever-faithful refuge and friend of all that are sore beset and seek His aid with humble and contrite hearts. Amen.

God being truth, justice, goodness, beauty, power, and life, man is falsehood, iniquity, evil, ugliness, impotence, and death. God being master, man is the slave. Incapable of finding justice, truth, and eternal life by his own effort, he can attain them only through a divine revelation... he who desires to worship God must harbor no childish illusions about the matter, but bravely renounce his liberty and humanity.

The man only has questions because of the corruption of your Holy Book. To find the path to Allah(pbuh) he must learn from the Quran and the teachings of Prophet Mohammad (pbuh).

TRUE Christianity is not religion. It is God's truth as breathed into the KJV1611.

Atheism is a religion. Rastafarian crack smoking hippyism is a religion. Christianity is just the truth, plain and simple.

Re: Should religion not be celebrated?

2:1 The Flying Spaghetti Monster speaks through all religions, deities, and prophets, and all religions, deities, and prophets are conduits to the Flying Spaghetti Monster.

2:4 As the Flying Spaghetti Monster said through the Buddha, “Believe nothing, no matter where you read it, or who said it, no matter if I have said it, unless it agrees with your own reason and your own common sense.”

2:5 This is how we must navigate the pluralism that is the essence of Pastafarianism.

3:1 The Flying Spaghetti Monster does not wish us to believe every word of every religion, as that would clearly be a problem and lead to much confusion and conflict.

3:3 If you agree with it, believe it, no matter if it comes from the Bible, the Qur‟an, The Buddha, Dave Barry, or any other source imaginable; these are all conduits of the Flying Spaghetti Monster

3:4 The principles of life, liberty, and freedom outlined in the Declaration of Independence and the United States Constitution are principles the Flying Spaghetti Monster chose to convey through men like Thomas Jefferson and James Madison.

3:5 The lessons of Mohandas Ghandi, Nelson Mandela, Voltaire, Plato and Socrates are all lessons of the Flying Spaghetti Monster.

3:6 If you were to take everything ever said in a religious context, removed the parts that contradicted each other, and overlapped the commonalities, what you are left with is a single word.

                    3:7 Love.

3:8 Even the Beatles are a voice of the Flying Spaghetti Monster; all you need is love.

                      Salaam Eddie,

I will pray for you to follow Allah (pbuh) in the way Prophet Mohammed (pbuh) has taught us. Do let the corrupted Holy Book, and Shaitan deceive you in failing to be a believer.
