Some people say us fundamentalists take everything in the Bible literally. This aint true. Here are some bible verses we do not take literally.
Mark 10:21
Jesus looked at him and loved him. “One thing you lack,” he said. “Go, sell everything you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me.”
41 Jesus sat down opposite the place where the offerings were put and watched the crowd putting their money into the temple treasury. Many rich people threw in large amounts. 42 But a poor widow came and put in two very small copper coins, worth only a few cents.
43 Calling his disciples to him, Jesus said, “Truly I tell you, this poor widow has put more into the treasury than all the others. 44 They all gave out of their wealth; but she, out of her poverty, put in everything—all she had to live on.” Mark 12:41-44
Also some say that we believe that every word in the Bible is the inspired word of God. This aint true either. See these Commy, pinky interpolations
44 All the believers were together and had everything in common. 45 They sold property and possessions to give to anyone who had need. Acts 2:44-45
32 All the believers were one in heart and mind. No one claimed that any of their possessions was their own, but they shared everything they had. Acts 4:32
If you practiced any of this nonsense you would not be living the American dream and everybody knows Jesus preached the American dream. Getting rich is a sign that Jesus loves you and that you are saved
