Golly, I remember the days on the old Voy forum, with Dookiemoot Powerfester and...hmmm. Let old and decrepit OEJ stimulate his brain cell...it needs a bit of wine for its frequent infirmity...

Harold the Mad Haji, but he was toward the madcap end...

The Sisters when I first joined the Godly Church included...Anita Amanda Feelgood, I think, and Sofonda Cox. There were other great Sistern from the old days but I don't remember their names.

I went by a different name at the beginning...several, actually, as it was so easy on that forum to -- as the French say -- make ze marionnette de chaussette.

Pleased to make your acquaintance (reacquaintance, if we have met before). The new board is a little different. But you noticed that already.

          ~~ OEJ

Addendum: But I don't remember Adult Christianity or Drunk's Bar as names of the forums. So maybe that was before I joined the Hung Savior's glorious Army.

The pleasure is all mine. I look forward to long nights of intercession with the Godly sisters of Landover. Perhaps you, Sister SUV, and myself can come together for prayer. Our Lord said where two or more are gathered in my name, there I am also. Four way with Jesus! Praise!

Yes, I have a feeling that I'm the only one here that will remember those message boards. Adult Christianity and its companion messageboard were hosted by the illustrious Poppy Dixon. The Drunk's Bar was a den of iniquity where the carnal desires of the flesh were fed and encouraged. I shudder to think of the tart I once was. Serpent X and his wife Lady Serpent, Dionysus, and the glorious Sinnerman77 were the regulars there.

Thank you, my brother, for welcoming me back to the fold. I embrace my role as the weaker, submissive vessel. If I can serve you in any way.....

We'll probably bump into each other down at the Nail Parlor. I go at least 3 times a week to keep them sharp.
If not, the Godly BBQ is still a welcome relief on a Sunday afternoon after all that kneeling. Sister SUV's Christmess Barbecue Egg-Noggs are superb at this time of year.

In the Name of the Hung Saviour who "hung around for us until the very End" - I take it you were Brother D(oubting) Thomas!!!

And who was that other Brother - kind of like Dookiemoot', he had two very unusual and lengthy names tacked together.....been trying to thiMk, but at this time of the Christmas Season?!!!

Did you know the 5-year-old girl recently made a brief appearance here? I suppose "Mistoor Happy" must have scared her away again

Yes, everyone do come over for some of my Barbequed Eggnog, which Sister Tali so graciously has remembered me for. It is even marginally better than my Down-Home Dungbread!!!

Re: Looking for Landover old timers

No, Sister SUV, I wasn't D. Thomas. You are right on the money with the "two funny names", though -- Clem Dogfuttock. The anti-Christians would mock my name, and I would explain that a dogfuttock is an obscure shipbuilders' term and they should beg forgiveness before Christ for slandering me.

Which they should have, the rotten unbelieving mockers.

I sat not in the assembly of the mockers, nor rejoiced; I sat alone because of thy hand: for thou hast filled me with indignation. Jeremiah 15:7

I really like Lil' Five. She is a True Christian and an example to people ten times her age. Indeed, she is like the blessed youth remembered by Job:

As I was in the days of my youth, when the secret of God was upon my tabernacle... Job 29:4

I don't know if you were on the Voy forum when it got really bad, Sister Cameltoe, but it pretty much imploded. Pagans and goths and atheistical teenieboppers overran it like locusts upon God's vineyard. It became unworkable.

So here we are. Things are much better.

We receive quite a few complaints and were eventually banned from our original host where the Drunk's Bar resided. When we moved over to Voy things weren't as fun. We had to batten down the hatches and beef up security to keep the unsavory out. I think the messageboard name changed as well. I'm pretty sure around that time Brother Harry Hardwick came over to Landover and took up residence here. Does that name ring a bell?

JESUS, Sister, yes - a great big ringing Church Bell! I think he has been on this board, but I may be thinking of his Wife, Mrs Heather Hardwick, who posted a couple times in Mrs Betty Bowers' threads.

(Have you seen Brother Harry lately? Though he's let his Godly crew-cut grow out, he now has many deelightful Baptist chins!)

Ah -- Sister Cameltoe, your membership in the Godly congregation must predate my joining, probably by a year or two. I remember Harry Hardwick well, though.

On the Voy forum I sensed from oblique comments by some of the Elders that there was a Paradise Lost, and you're post makes that understandable.

I don't know of anyone on the present forum -- Pastor Deacon Fred and Betty Bowers excepted, of course -- who might have been on the pre-Voy forums.
