Hey, my name is Alex, and I'm a new member here at LBC Forums. I am a Christian, and have been for a few years. I am here to spread knowledge and understanding, as well as learning from other members here. I'm glad to be here, and I hope that you will accept me with open arms. 7Wherefore receive ye one another, as Christ also received us to the glory of God.(Romans 15:7)

Re: New Member Here.
Apologies, friend. What church do you attend? Are you a married man, Alex?Christians are superior because we possess an understanding that unbelievers lack. It is through the Power of Jesus only the converted mind is able to understand what is going on in the world; what the Communists are really up to; what Satan's intentions are. Most unbelievers do not even believe in Satan and cannot understand his tactics.

No apologies necessary. My name is Alex. I attend Island Baptist Church in New Jersey. I'm 18 years of age, and currently unmarried. It is hard to find a good Christian girl anymore.Originally posted by Levi Jones View PostApologies, friend. What church do you attend? Are you a married man, Alex?

Yes, I am Baptist, although I am not unsaved. I am very much a follower of Jesus Christ. Do you consider yourself a strong or weak atheist?Originally posted by MindGateHello, I'm Jarred, new as well, and an "unsaved trash" Buddhist/Atheist. So, what denomination are you? I would best to assume baptist, but I can't be sure.

And what's with your braggadocios username? What kind of a Christian calls himself a "wizard" anyway?Originally posted by Mathematical Wizard View PostNo apologies necessary. My name is Alex. I'm not sure that it is "boastful" per say, but I call myself a "mathematical wizard" because God has blessed me with the gift of being very good at mathematics. I find the talent useful when arguing with atheists.Originally posted by Pastor Ezekiel View PostAnd what's with your braggadocios username? What kind of a Christian calls himself a "wizard" anyway?

Familiar with this verse?
Leviticus 20:27
A man also or woman that hath a familiar spirit, or that is a wizard, shall surely be put to death: they shall stone them with stones: their blood shall be upon them.

Re: New Member Here.
Mathematically speaking I assume you're well aware about the basic set theory right? ...I mean a definition of Wizards if you were to look at it pertain within the subgroup of Sorcerers, and Sorcerers are set groups of people belonging to the Devil! Thus calling your self a Wizzard made you partially a subset element of groups belonging to Satan himself!!! Can you see the equivalance & the transitivity relation in that???Originally posted by Mathematical Wizard View PostI'm not sure that it is "boastful" per say, but I call myself a "mathematical wizard" because God has blessed me with the gift of being very good at mathematics. ... Do you enjoy watching Harry Potter by any chance??

Re: New Member Here.
How can you not be a Conjurer when you overtly acknowledge as belonging to a subset of such groups?, Are you trying to prove your self by contradiction here? .. because even the Lord Jesus cannot see any soundness & consistencies in the claims you made!!!Originally posted by Mathematical Wizard View PostYes, it comes from the Hebrew yid-deh-o-nee' which means conjurer. In that sense of the word, I am not a conjurer. I use the vernacular term which means someone that is good at something.

Yes, as a mathematician, I am very familiar with set theory. Your argument goes under the assumption that I intend the literal meaning of wizard, when, in fact, I mean wizard in the figurative vernacular sense meaning "someone of certain knowledge." Therefore, I would not belong to the Devil. I am a Baptist, which is a subgroup of God's people, which means that I belong to God. Also, I do not enjoy watching Harry Potter. I find it not useful for God's purpose.
Additionally, Wizards by nature are not mathematical, but rather sorcerous. If a literal sense of the word were taken in relation to my user name, then a contradiction would be in place. Since God invented mathematics (proven by AiG), then I could not possible, as a wizard of the Devil, be good at that which God created. Therefore, I am a true Christian of God.

Proverbs 6:25 Lust not after her beauty in thine heart; neither let her take thee with her eyelids.
Genesis 24:16 And the damsel was very fair to look upon, a virgin, neither had any man known her: and she went down to the well, and filled her pitcher, and came up.
