    Hello

    Hi everyone. My name is Heather. I'm 16 and i live in california. So I kinda stumbled onto your site here by accident. And it seemed intriguing to me.
    I'm kinda confused about my religion and i'm looking for someone to teach me about god. Ive read some of the bible and i go to a youth group, but that dosnt tell me anything. And i've read into Islam, but im not a huge fan of that because of how it looks down on women. But I'm here to see what you can offer me in the way of teaching. thanks!

    Great, you've come to the right place! Get a King James 1611 Bible and start reading! Tithe your allowance to Landover and make it snappy, Jesus hates a tightwad (if you haven't got an allowance then use your parents' credit card)

      I already have one of those. My church gave it to me a few years ago.
      And give all my money to you? You know i have to pay for gas and food and that stuff. Kinda important that i get to school and eat.
      Plus i dont know you guys very well, i aint going to give you all my money!

      And on the topic of a lesbian. I'm not sure. I'm a little bit confused in that area. I think i may be bi. But i dont know... but i know Jesus will forgive me, afterall, that what Jesus dose.

        Oh my goodness honey, you have got a lot to learn about Christianity, the True Christian™ kind (that's us)

        Sorry to say the truth is, Jesus does not forgive everybody, only those who accept His sweet love first and get SAVED®

        So you see that bunny munching is simply out of the question if you want to get right with Jesus! Please don't turn down that path, you will be sorry if you do!

              I hate to ban an earnest seeker such as you, but we have a strict policy that you have to be 18 or older to post here. Please come back then.

              Jesus forgives, but only if you repent. Repent doesn't mean just saying "sorry" and then going back and doing it again. Repent means to turn away from you sins.

              I'm sure you remember the story in John 8 when the crowd that was about to stone a woman for adultery. Everybody remembers what Jesus said to the crowd, "He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her." However, many people like to forget what Jesus said to the woman after the crowd dispersed. Do you remember? He told the woman to "go, and sin no more."

              I have heard many people try to twist the meaning of that story into something it isn't, claiming that it means the Old Testament laws are no longer valid. That's not what this story is about. Adultery is just as much a sin now as it was in Moses' day.

              The point of that story is that Jesus has the power to forgive sins, and will forgive those who will go, and sin no more.

                It's our policy, and a good one too. We follow all of the Bible, and we discuss every bit of the Bible here. There is much of the Bible that is not suitable for minors. How would you like to explain the story of Lot and his daughters in Genesis or the graphic depictions of various sexual acts in Song of Solomon to snickering teenagers?

                  hah, thing is, way back when, a certain bible scholar wrote a letter to the pope saying that "if we teach the word of the lord to children of the age of 7 or lower, they will never question their faith" (this was a problem at the time). Well, that caught on, even in protestants, and thus today in many private schools those stories are being taught to snickering teenagers. Shame you banned her, you could have shown her your perfect view, and had her turn away on her own. Well, not really on her own, it prolly would be mostly thanks to members here. (don't take it personal, after all, she is a,(to put it in your words), upstart, lesbian heathen...That was taking the right approach to religion. I wish there were more free thinkers like that....and one more thing. I want to point out that she wasn't an earnest seeker just towards christianity, but that she had already looked at islam,(which I think you might hate a little..)) I'm being argumentative, but that's the thing; I'm just going on about my p.o., and I'm not planning on checking in here again.
