    Four hundred glorious years

    Next year, the greatest book that was ever written, the King James Version of the HolyBible, will be 400 years old. What are we doing to celebrate this fantastic gift donated to humanity by the wonderful British?

    God's own church should move to God's own country to celebrate the birth of God's own book.

      Friend, while your enthusiasm for God's Holy Word is very welcome, I fail to see what good Landover relocating to Israel would do anyone.
      O Lord our God, help us to tear their soldiers to bloody shreds with our shells; help us to cover their smiling fields with the pale forms of their patriot dead; help us to drown the thunder of the guns with the shrieks of their wounded, writhing in pain; help us to lay waste their humble homes with a hurricane of fire; help us to wring the hearts of their unoffending widows with unavailing grief; help us to turn them out roofless with little children to wander unfriended the wastes of their desolated land in rags and hunger and thirst, sports of the sun flames of summer and the icy winds of winter, broken in spirit, worn with travail, imploring Thee for the refuge of the grave and denied it--for our sakes who adore Thee, Lord, blast their hopes, blight their lives, protract their bitter pilgrimage, make heavy their steps, water their way with their tears, stain the white snow with the blood of their wounded feet! We ask it, in the spirit of love, of Him Who is the Source of Love, and Who is the ever-faithful refuge and friend of all that are sore beset and seek His aid with humble and contrite hearts. Amen.



      God being truth, justice, goodness, beauty, power, and life, man is falsehood, iniquity, evil, ugliness, impotence, and death. God being master, man is the slave. Incapable of finding justice, truth, and eternal life by his own effort, he can attain them only through a divine revelation... he who desires to worship God must harbor no childish illusions about the matter, but bravely renounce his liberty and humanity.

          It is nice you brought this up. But may I point out to you that the heathen have short memories and will never be able to remember this for a whole year.
          Psalms 88:12 - Shall thy wonders be known in the dark? and thy righteousness in the land of forgetfulness?
          James 1:25 -- But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.
          Deuteronomy 4:9 -- Only take heed to thyself, and keep thy soul diligently, lest thou forget the things which thine eyes have seen, and lest they depart from thy heart all the days of thy life: but teach them thy sons, and thy sons' sons;
          Job 8:13 -- So are the paths of all that forget God; and the hypocrite's hope shall perish:

          II Peter 1:4 -- Whereby are giuen vnto vs exceeding great and precious promises, that by these you might bee partakers of thy diuine nature, hauing escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.

                  Here is an idea to celebrate the Godly King James Bible;

                  We stone 400 sinners every day for 400 days!

                  That would be 160,000 sinners. Now I realize, there are many, many more sinners than that in Des Moines, but it would be a good start, and maybe the survivors would be a little less sinful when our celebration is over!
                  Jud 1:15 To execute judgment upon all, and to convince all that are unGodly among them of all their unGodly deeds which they have unGodly committed, and of all their hard [speeches] which unGodly sinners have spoken against him.
