    Greetings from a former Athiest

    Hello!

I just wanted to write and say hello to you all. I'm so very blessed to have been led to your website! I'm absolutely SURE that it was G-d that brought me here.

I'm just a simple man, but I hope to be able to help out in any way I can to further the message of the Landover Baptist Church. From what I can tell, you (we!) are the only church Truly spreading G-d's message.

    Hallelujah!

@Godsgrace Welcome! Why do you write G-d instead of God?
    I Jesus!

Re: Greetings from a former Athiest

        Hello!

I do not write the name "God" because of the laws delivered by Moses which are found in Deuteronomy 12:3-12:4. In this passage, the Jews are instructed to destroy anything and everything associated with their rival’s gods, and they are not to let this happen to their own G-d. Writing G-d instead of "God" is one way to prevent others from destroying the name of G-d.

        Blessed be!

@Godsgrace Then why did you call yourself Godsgrace instead of G-dsgrace?

Also what is the significance of that symbol you're using as an avatar?

What else have you not thought of?
Isaiah 45:7 I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.
Amos 3:6 Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be afraid? shall there be evil in a city, and the LORD hath not done it?
Numbers 21:6 And the LORD sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people; and much people of Israel died.
Matthew 10:34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.
Matthew 10:35 For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.
Matthew 10:36 And a man's foes shall be they of his own household.

It's a cross, it came to me in a vision. I'm absolutely SURE that g-d sent it to me. It represents to me a reminder of the bloody, evil way our Lord and Saviour died. I do not mean to be offensive; if required, I'll certainly change it. Perhaps I can find another less offensive way to represent the bloody death of Jesus.

Mr Hutchins, as I said earlier, I am but a simple man. A sinner. I seek Grace and Salvation through Christ Jesus. And, the Lord sent me here to the Landover Baptist Church.

                  I am here to learn...

Well, start spelling God like a normal American, and don't make up funny crosses.

Got it? We can teach you a lot of things.
May you be a blessing to every life you touch.

Alright; I'll start spelling God the American way. I guess if Jesus spelled it that way in the KJV, then it's good enough for me.

Just for your information the name of God is not to be spelled in Hebrew. But since he actually never named himself but rather described his qualities and magnificence, nobody knows his name. So they could never write it down anyways. Yahweh was descriptive, not cognomen. And it would never have applied to English which is why the 1611 King James Bible spells God out in full. Only pretentious joos and those who emulate them forget to use the "o". Most are ignorant of their own history, religion and Bible.

God likes poetry that is why He used so much of it in Hebrew. Plus it was much easier for those joos to remember. The Hebrew word here is שם (shem) which basically means appellation or honorific. The problem arises because that is also the Hebrew word for proper names such as David. But nowhere did God actually give his name.

It is sort of like Jesus Christ. Jesus is his name but Christ is not. It is an appellation or characterization. Do you think the translators of the 1611 King James Bible would disobey God and write his actual name when God Himself forbids it?
