Foolishness giving US Christians a bad name

I have been a regular poster in other christian forums and pretty much stick to my guns when questioned about my faith. At the same time I was a USAF pilot for 18 years. In a cockpit at mach 4 you have to have faith firstly in the creator but secondly in your ground crew, your intruments and the science behind it.
I am at a loss to explain the growth in, how do I say it politely ignorance that seems to be spreading over the past 10 years through the christian community, that seems to be swayed by right wing political figures.
I have been saved more than one by the creator but at the same time He has worked his will through the science of the universe he created and saved my life. I believe me must look at the evidence that is presented to us because that is trully the way that the truth prevails and faith persists.

Indeed. It's ridiculous to follow the Bible with such slavish literalism. I am proud to admit I pick and choose which parts of it I want to follow.

Thank you Mr Coleridge, although I am new here, I hope my observations dont cause much offence and find ground maybe with people that are willing to discuss our creator in a more open minded fashion.

That Mr Coleridge is a very astute observation.
To me God has never been a He or (and I love to type this here) a She, not an entity or a mystery. Not the bringer of answers or the harbinger of death.
Just me and my own conversation with the creator of the universe.
I asume nothing about my friend, except that they are a friend ,,(to assume otherwise would frame oneself in a miserable existence).
I would mention how I live my life, but thats no person's concern except between myself and my friend, suffice to say I try to make them proud of me.
This is why my friend is the creator because I am in no position to assume anything about what is planned for me of the reality that I live in.
I assume nothing Mr Coleridge, I am not so foolish to pretend that I know the mind of God, I lesson I wish I could comminicate to my fellow Human Beings more in my time here.
Keep up the good observations Mr Coleridge.

I think he meant that he attained that speed in an demonic video game that replicates an unmanned X-43-HyperX which flies at about 100,000 feet doing between Mach 7 and Mach 10. But even the X-43 needed booster rockets to get up to speed.

As you stated the SR-71 might attain a Mach 3 under the best of conditions. So I guess that lie by bob.god puts his age at around 14 (or a 28 year old on drugs).
