  • Cone wants to talk

    First things first.

Hello, my name is Street Cone. I have been watching over your site, along with several others as part of a religious studies program. When I finally found a thread about the video game "Halo 3" being a promotional tool for Muslims, the study group decided it was time for us to start part two of the investigation. We have several other users on other websites and other forums of other religions. We are all listing the same series of topics to see how people react to each one. Keep in mind that all things you say are done in on an open internet line where they can be 'picked' and used.
By collaborating into discussions created by Street Cone, you are giving us rights to use your comments as part of our research. Also, by banning a member, we will record the reason why.

    Now, onto the other stuff.

On my registration, I looked over the rules. I figure most of you didn't or don't remember them.

We have gathered a large amount of comments being anti-homosexual and anti-religious of other denominations, including but not limited too: Muslims, Jews, Catholics....

    I found this funny.

From all posts after this initial one, only one user will be using this account. Topics will be more personal.

So, I will be Street Cone. I am doing this job to raise some money so I can have some spare cash. I also chose religious studies, because I thought it would help me choose a religion. Throughout time, I will be asking you some Q's that I hope you answer, and all that jazz. I will try not to offend anyone, but we all know you can't avoid that. Hey, if no one was offended, the world would be a really boring place.

Ok, so... Here is some stuff you should know about me.
I am a caucasion (White for those who don't know. We have enough people ask), I am straight, I am Agnostic (Undecided), male, and the rest of my personal information I will keep to myself.

I don't want to cause in flaming* or idiotic internet debates that lead in "Who can be more mean and make the least amount of sense".

*- Flame or Flaming (also seen as Flame War) is an internet term used for the online fight of people using text messages as their argumentative voice.

So.... yea.... Read it all first, I am making notes. So, thanks. If you have any questions, or wanna know anything, just ask. And I am bound to get a "Hell burner" or something thrown at me, so lets go for gold

Welcome, friend. You might get more that you bargained for. We have our own goals here, and that's to do the Will of God. I believe that you were brought to this forum for a reason. You came for some spare cash, but you might wind up with eternal salvation instead! Wouldn't that be glorious!

If you read the King James Bible from cover-to-cover and believe every word of it, you will know all there is to know about our beliefs. Brother V has a Bible-in-a-Year program that can help you get started.

      Re: Cone wants to talk

Thank you. I will be asking some pretty strong topics later on.

Also, if I get any part of the Bible wrong when I call to it for reference, PLEASE CORRECT ME. I have only read the NIV version of the Bible, the Quran/Koran, and a small bit of Lutherism and Calvinism beliefs of 1500-1600's.

So, I don't know how long it will take for me to finish this paper. It will be a long time though. Also, I am sort of required to debate most things users will say. Sorry, but I will for the sake of the paper.

If you want to know about our paper, it's a college religious study where we are comparing several religions and those who follow the said religions to get an accurate view of the United States. Please note that eventually, your comments will be posted for anyone who wishes to see.

Also, calling me an Atheist gets me pretty upset.

I'm glad, brother, Atheists and their presence upsets me as well.

Like Wash, I am also glad to hear that. It tells me that you haven't completely turned your back on Christ.

I'm curious as to what this means to you, though. Why does it upset you when someone calls you an Atheist?

              I am Agnostic.

This means I am undecided. I have fumbled around with religion for quite some time. But the one thing that gets me upset is when people automatically assume I am an Atheist, which I am not.

I am also quite knowledged on the subjects of books, movies, video games, and basic popular culture.

                Re: Cone wants to talk

Excuse me, is it possible to conduct some research of my own, whilst you're here? According to my comprehensive surveying, I have found that the people more likely to turn away from the one true God, are ones who have not been brought up in a way correct for their gender, status, race or not in a fully Americanised environment. So, I have a few quick questions I'd be much obliged if you answered:

                Did your mother work?
                Did you ever play football?
                Can you hunt?
Do you know how to wash clothing?
Did your mother cook all your meals, from scratch?
Do you enjoy the sight of flowers?
Have you ever owned or viewed material of a pornographic nature?
How often do you change your socks?

I hope it won't trouble you to answer these questions, as I'm sure you understand the importance of research, being here to do the same and all.
"She was of a great age, and had lived with a husband seven years from her virginity; And she was a widow of about fourscore and four years, which departed not from the temple, but served God with fastings and prayers night and day" - Luke 2:36-37

                    Did your mother work? Yes
Did you ever play football? Yes
Can you hunt? I do not own a gun, but I do know how to fire a gun
Do you know how to wash clothing? Only from using a machine.
Did your mother cook all your meals, from scratch? She did cook all my meals, but not all of them are from scratch
Do you enjoy the sight of flowers? I do. I like to take pictures of nature
Have you ever owned or viewed material of a pornographic nature? I do not own, but I will not lie. I have viewed pornography but I do try to stay away.

As for my professor, it is Prof. Hunter of Religious Sociology. We hope to get our paper published and maybe talked about on NPR. We just started

                      Re: Cone wants to talk

Good, good, good. *rubs hands gleefully*

Landover, as you know, has recently published a well-received book on religion in America. It is entertaining without being prurient; accurate without being dry; and witty without being, um, squirrel-like in the least degree.

So let us jump right in, sir. Yes indeed.

And it was so, that, after they had carried it about, the hand of the LORD was against the city with a very great destruction: and he smote the men of the city, both small and great, and they had emerods in their secret parts. 1 Samuel 5:9

Reading that the Lord cursed the men of Ashdod with emerods in their secret parts, many scholars have wondered whether the curse has any relationship to the curse with which the Lord threatened the Daughters of Zion, to wit, that He would "discover their secret parts."

This is a question which vexes me much.

What have you learned of this subject in your religious studies, sir? What wisdom have you for us on this weighty topic?

Remember, your answer just might make it into the next Landover book! And, to put the whipped-cream on the apple pie as it were, it might determine whether you are damned to hell for the rest of eternity!

Play us not falsely, for the Lord loveth not a silly-bugger. Fear the Lord, my friend, fear the Lord!

But I will forewarn you whom ye shall fear: Fear him, which after he hath killed hath power to cast into hell; yea, I say unto you, Fear him. Luke 12:5

You have answered questions that no one asked, and avoided the ones that were.

What is the full name of the university that you allegedly attend?

Why are you in Godless Europe if you are supposedly attending college in America?

Alas, Pastor Ezekiel, it does appear this fellow is playing with his fingers crossed. He is a false witness, and perhaps a witless witness.

                              Can Landover save his soul?

I am in doubt. I have deep reservations.
