    Good day brothers and sisters...

And let me right away excuse myself for my little racial reference that I used as my topic. I have come here out of curiosity due to hearing of this site in various places (which I shall not name here, but I can assure you that none of these have anything to do with the infamous 4chan, the dumpster of the internet, which I only know via its rather bad reputation. You may find my knowledge of the Bible lacking, as I have never committed too much of my time for studying it, as well as you might find my english rather lacking (for I do not speak nor write it as my native language).

That is all that you will learn of me without asking, but I can, however, assure you that my intentions are to perceive, to learn and perhaps, one day, take part in some of the debates that I have only briefly looked at here in your forums. I wish thee a good day,

    The Troll Boy

P.S. The name is old and it should not, perhaps, be taken too seriously. I apologize for that, but I had a moment when I lacked any imagination and did not wish to make another boardname.

We are not here for your childish attacks. We are a Christian community here to Praise Jesus. If you have a specific question about the Holy Bible and can ask it respectfully, then go ahead. If you are here to mock God, then piss off.
    Who Will Jesus Damn?

Re: Good day brothers and sisters...

I did not intend to insult you by the boardname I chose - it was a bad joke and not in any form intended to be a childish attack against you nor your boards, neither am I here to mock your community nor God himself. As I stated in my original post, I have come here to perceive and learn. My only fault, as I see it, was to create the wrong kind of a boardname, which I do apologize for - I kept it only because I did not wish to create another account.
I made this topic to introduction forum because there is one and I thought that it would be somewhat polite to introduce myself to the other forum users.

In any case, I beg your pardon. I will ask questions as soon as I have any, which will be most likely later tonight, as I am terribly tired at the moment and will need a nap sooner or later. However, I wish you a good day.

          I will not.

Actually, I do have one question - what is Landover Baptist Church's opinion about women as priests, as in holding masses and such? As in here, where I come from, there has been a rather long debate about the matter and as I do not know my Bible too well, I can not tell what the Bible says about the matter, and I am intrigued about this subject. Is this rather a matter of tradition - as in, coming from the Catholic traditions rather than the teachings of the Bible - or is this something written in Bible, that women should not act in such positions in God's church (or churches, even if a quick glance at one of the forums implies that those who are members of this forum regard the other religions / branches of the christian faith blasphemous and incorrect with their teachings)? Bear in mind that I have only recently joined these forums and have not scrolled through all the topics of your forums. If there is a similiar discussion somewhere, I apologize for that.

I would normally ask this from a friend of mine who is studying theology in University and is about to graduate (possibly aiming for a job as a Lutherian priest) but he lives quite a far away (300ish kilometres or even more) and we don't speak that often, so I would feel rather awkward asking this question about him - rather than asking about this in a forum where people can discuss anonymously.

First of all, we are Baptist. NOT MARY WORSHIPPING CATTLICKS!!
We do NOT have perverted Priests in our Faith.Neither do we Worship Mary.

Secondly, Women are not allowed to become Ministers of any kind. It's against the wishes of God.
Anyway, It's proven Women do not have the Intelligence of Men.

I know full well that you are baptists (hence the name Landover Baptist Church I assume) and from what I know of, only the catholics pay any heed to the saints - thus I was not assuming such a thing either. I sincerely apologize if I was implying such things.

If you wouldn't mind, would you be able to give me any quotations from the Bible to the matter? Only interested about the matter, it is not necessary. Oh and, if possible, would someone possibly be able to change my boardname to "IzIz" rather than "The Troll Boy"? I would much appreciate it, as the Troll Boy is rather... provocative as a name, makes people automatically assume that I am here to troll rather than have a conversation and learn. Thank you.

All of that has been covered extensively in other threads. Instead of demanding to be spoon fed, why not take a look around for yourself?

We can start with an easy one:

Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee.
                  Genesis 3:16

We can then work our way up from there.
                  Psalm 81:10:
I am the LORD thy God, which brought thee out of the land of Egypt:
open thy mouth wide, and I will fill it.

Ah well, sorry about that. Did dig it up from finnish wikipedia (there was an article good enough in there). Thank you in any case. Excuse me for 'demanding to be spoon fed', I suppose it can be rather annoying.
