I have PROVED my biblical knowledge with 852 posts in this forum. If there is anywhere that I have contradicted the Bible, in those 852 posts, please point them out to me. Better to learn of any of my errors from you, than from Jesus on Judgement Day!

I have proved myself 852 times, now it is time for you to prove your Biblical knowledge ONCE.

Since you're such a biblical expert, how about you give us a quick summary of what happens in the Book of Joshua, and what it teaches us to do in Iraq.

      Becky --

You are upset with the tone of some of us, but we (as a congregation) have undergone tremendous harassment in the past few weeks from various unbelieving, immature, and often obscene posters.

So we may be a bit tetchy.

As far as taking the "subliminal" or minor points of the Bible, I myself tend to go to the heart of the matter: the great questions of true morality, of good and evil, and of God's will in the creation of mankind.

These are difficult questions which are often glossed over by other mainstream churches...and for good reason, as they invariably bring even the staunchest believers to the edge of disbelief.

But it serves no one to ignore these questions. If they are not resolved within the faith, then the faith becomes a false thing -- a shiny but fragile shell over a fundamentally flawed understanding.

I will try to post more later, but for now please forgive us our trespasses.

      -- OEJ

That's about Mohamhead and Islam. None of us claim to prophets. And it didn't answer the question:

My views don't agree with yours so I can not answer that question correctly in your eyes. And I apologize I thought a prophet was defined as a person who speaks for God or a deity, or by divine inspiration. Since you all claim to know so much and try to convert others to your beliefs you are defined as a prophet. A false one.

Beck - please tell us then which parts of the Bible you don't approve of? We approve of the entire Bible, and follow its instructions to the letter.
You seem to pick out parts you approve of and ignore parts you don't like, then accuse those of us who follow ALL of Gods word as being bad Christians?
You do not make sense. Who told you it was ok to choose what parts of the Bible to obey?
The devil, whose business is to pervert the truth, mimics the exact circumstance of the Divine Sacraments. He baptises his believers and promises forgiveness of sins...he celebrates the oblation of bread, and brings in the symbol of the resurrection. Let us therefore acknowledge the craftiness of the devil, who copied certain things of those that be divine."

I don't choose parts of the Bible to obey. What you say you are doing is impossible. You claim that God hates his enemies and wants to kill them then back it up with Bible verses. Then someone who is in opposition to your beliefs posts the verse about loving your enemies as yourself and you shoot them down saying they are wrong. The Bible is subjective and contradictory it is the overall message that you are supposed to obey.

                      Joshua 1:6-9

Be strong and courageous, because you will lead these people to inherit the land I swore to their forefathers to give them. Be strong and very courageous. Be careful to obey all the law my servant Moses gave you; do not turn from it to the right or to the left, that you may be successful wherever you go. Do not let this Book of the Law depart from your mouth; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful. Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go.

                      Stay in Iraq

Who said you can't kill and love at the same time? When Biblical law is finally back in its rightful place in America, do you think parents won't love their rebellious children any less as they are executing them as God commands?
By secular law keeping people from doing as the Lord orders, it actually causes hate and resentment to build up toward those who are still unjustly alive and parents end up hating their rebellious kids!

Yes, we are to stay in Iraq. You figured that much out. But what are we to do while there? Here's a hint: it involves everything that breathes. And killing.

11:11 And they smote all the souls that were therein with the edge of the sword, utterly destroying them: there was not any left to breathe: and he burnt Hazor with fire.
11:12 And all the cities of those kings, and all the kings of them, did Joshua take, and smote them with the edge of the sword, and he utterly destroyed them, as Moses the servant of the LORD commanded...
11:13 But as for the cities that stood still in their strength, Israel burned none of them, save Hazor only; that did Joshua burn.
11:14 And all the spoil of these cities, and the cattle, the children of Israel took for a prey unto themselves; but every man they smote with the edge of the sword, until they had destroyed them, neither left they any to breathe.

"Be careful to obey all the law my servant Moses gave you"
That's the same law that calls for homosexuals to be executed. So, are you with the Bible, or against the Bible?
