[Free of Hate]

I do not hate you people on this website. I do question you. Those who promote the beatings of children, and those who turn down a helping hand because they are not of the same faith. We all share one thing in common. We are human. We are flawed, but we try our best to make up for it. I for one, am not a Christian Republican and I do not agree with the current condition of the United States' government. I rather come to you, on this forum, in a request that you open your eyes. Yes, accept Jesus, believe in your faith. It is great to have a solid foundation like that in one's mind. But please, do not harm the rest of the world. Do not try to hurt us, or justify any acts of hate or outrage by your religion. If you want to help improve the condition of the world, please, start helping. Hate isn't going to get us anywhere. I try and see the best in people, and it helps me connect with them, no matter what age, race, gender, or religion. All of these are assets of humanity. So please, please start helping, not hurting.

That is an interesting viewpoint. However, it is not God's. God wants us to care enough about right and wrong to hate the wrong.

God, after all, hates evil. "Neither shalt thou set thee up any image; which the LORD thy God hateth." Deuteronomy 16:22.

But God doesn't just hate false gods, he also hates sinners. "The foolish shall not stand in thy sight: thou hatest all workers of iniquity." Psalm 5:5. Note -- He hates "workers of iniquity," not iniquity, i.e., the sinner, not the sin.

Fine, you might say, but that's still a general sort of hate. Well, there's more. God also hates specific people and places. " The Lord GOD hath sworn by himself, saith the LORD the God of hosts, I abhor the excellency of Jacob, and hate his palaces: therefore will I deliver up the city with all that is therein." Amos 6:8.

I can hear it now -- that's all Old Testament! Well, is the word of Jesus New Testament enough for you? How about, "If any man come to me, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple."
Luke 14:26.

So, feel free to be "free of hate." It just means you are also "free" of God's grace.

True words of wisdom! And I am reminded of the New Testament, specifically, the Book of John, 2:15...

2:15 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.

So you see, even the (false Christian) John 3:16ers will have a hard time objecting to the Lord's true message.
