  • Hello

My name's Lesley. I've been cruising this site for a little while and put in a few comments (one which was mistakingly on the Men's Only thread, which i got a thrashing for!)

Anyway, i wanted to say hello and tell you all that although i'm not very well versed on the bible i do believe in your beliefs.
i'm eager to learn though and i hope you all can welcome me in your group.

i'm a firm believer in a DD relationship between a Man and woman and that is one thing that connected me to some of you.
Hopefully you all can accept someone that can't quote the bible but i assure you that my heart is in the right place.

    Hoping to make friends.
    Lesley

    Re: Hello

What is a 'DD relationship' and why do you not include God?

I am unable to quote the Bible from memory (even though I have read it every day for 45 years) but I know exactly where what I need its located. But to be unfamiliar with the Bible is not good. Any reason you will not read it? It really is an amazing Book.
Isaiah 45:7 I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.
Amos 3:6 Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be afraid? shall there be evil in a city, and the LORD hath not done it?
Numbers 21:6 And the LORD sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people; and much people of Israel died.
Matthew 10:34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.
Matthew 10:35 For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.
Matthew 10:36 And a man's foes shall be they of his own household.

        Re: Hello

        Thanks for your reply James.
A DD relationship means domestic discipline. i've always believed that Men are the leaders in a relationship and that sometimes require them to enforce discipline.
i wasn't raised in a religious background and it's only been recently that i've realized the Bible contains beliefs that i believe in. i know that ignorance is not an excuse that's why i'm willing to learn.
i think the best thing to do is be yourself and lean on others to help you learn and grow.
That's all i'm throwing out there and i hope i can be accepted even though i'm not as knowledgable.

Well Lesly, you are just a female. You have many concerns in life. Baking, timing thinghs to get that pie crust a perfect shade of golden brown. Sleaning stains from your husbands underwear. A lot, I know. My wife is so busy with her chores, I think she is no longer around until a fresh pie appears or a new child.

But do take the time to read the Bible. A good place is during your monthly visitor.

If you cannot afford a hard copy, here is an online version,
Read, hear, and study Scripture at the world's most-visited Christian website. Grow your faith with devotionals, Bible reading plans, and mobile apps.
