How do you guys know what hell is like?

We have sure word of prophecy, Foggle. Some characteristics of Hell are described in the Bible.
And if thy hand offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter into life maimed, than having two hands to go into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched:
Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched. Mark 9:43,44
So in Hell the fires are eternal, and the "worm" -- disease, metaphorically -- is never cured.
Elsewhere Hell is described as a pit, as at the "roots of the mountains", and as a lake of fire. In Revelation the damnation of souls to Hell is described, and Hell is a place of endless torment.
The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb:
And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name. Revelation 14:10,11
There are other Biblical clues as to the nature of Hell, but I'm going to leave it to you to search them out.
