Yes, Sister, you could say that. The yearly Witch Hunts are the worst, but outside of the "hunting season," as we've grown used to call it, you still live like a social outcast. When children see me, they often run away in abject terror, shouting "witch, witch!" I'd better make my way out of there then, before devout church members chase me away with gunfire.

But I must say, I've grown used to this way of living. I just mind my step, and I know some people in town I can trust, and, after all, the Mother Goddess watches the steps of me and my coven members!

Yes, there are some gems in Proverbs. Many of those sayings, of course, date from earlier, polytheistic traditions of the jewish people, before the intolerance of Yahwism took over.

I believe in the dualship of God, the male and female aspects of one deity. I've also never been comfortable about using a physical likeness of that deity, rather, I use abstract representations of those aspects.

I myself do not use much images either. To me, most importance lies in the rituals, like Drawing down the Moon. Also, I think the deities are more a spiritual force, that seldom manifest themselves in a physical form.

Where do you people usually go for your cauldron supplies? We are looking for a cauldron that will fit a young child to put the fear of Jesus deep into them. Hopefully the same distributor that you use for cauldrons can also give me a good deal on brooms. If you are not too busy having lesbian orgies, please help me out! YIC! Glory!

Every false, man-made religion on earth claims it is the One True Religion. Islam, Buddhism, Hinduism, Zoroastrianism, Flying Spaghetti Monsterism. Not one says, "This is a religion that is true FOR ME."

How can Truth be subjective? That's what you're suggesting, that Truth does not exist, that it is made up by each individual.

Well, with that said, could you do me a big favor? I am in charge of next year's 'halloween hell house' for our local Baptist church and would like some info on cauldrons. Where do you people usually go for your cauldron supplies? We are looking for a cauldron that will fit a young child to put the fear of Jesus deep into them.

Most of the time, any "cauldrons" that are out there are only a few inches high and are either used for herbs and such for rituals (although quite a few use decorative bowls), or the cauldron itself is used for simple decoration around the house around Halloween. Both of which are small and go on a tabletop or mantle.
There's no reason for there to be one that's any bigger than that.

As far as the brooms go, I going to take a guess and say that you're referencing the stereotypical witch-flying-on-a-broom image that are normally seen around Halloween.


Some wiccans do have brooms that look like that, but they're just for decoration, nothing more.

There are many easy and foolproof ways to test to see if someone is a witch.

Are there any strange marks on the body from where the Devil touched them? If so, they are a witch and should be burned.

If you tie a large stone to their body and cast them into the water and they do not sink, they have renounced baptism, they are a witch and should be burned.

Do they keep too many brooms and can they fly? If so, they are a witch and should be burned.

My youngest, Solomon Solomon Junior, has not yet seen his first witch burning. If anyone finds a witch and plans to burn her, please let me know so my family can come and watch.

Most Wise Brothers; we have never stoned witches in my small community, we have always burnt them. I believe some of the elders have been turning a blind eye as of late, as there have been no burnings for almost two years.

Many fond childhood memories are had at burnings. The cozy warmth of the fire, the smell of fat bubbling on the wood and children roasting chestnuts warm the heart of even the most stern parent.

The screaming and writhing of the condemned only lasts a short while and we drown out the unpleasant noise with hymns.

I long for the days of my youth when there was a burning every month.

It warms the cockles of my heart to reminisce.
