Brothers and Sisters in the Lord,

My name is Mike and I am new to these forums.

I had my share of problems. I was addicted to pornography and sexual ways and had so many issues. I searched far and wide for guidance. I was a struggling soul, and needed to surround myself with God's chosen children to keep me on the right path.

I found my answer in prayer! I joined a small local Church in Virginia to assist me in my heathen ways. I found a group of good people willing to ensure that I would not stray the path of the evil one. Through constant prayer and dedication, I am now clean and want to remain that way until my day of redemption!

I truly wish to be a Templar for Christ and make His word known to all in the world and help save others like myself!

I also need strength. I go to a private college and share a dorm with another student. This individual wears strange clothing (something that looks like a bulletproof vest and black baggy pants with chains). He seems to be quiet and not cause too much trouble, except this: I came home from night classes and heard a strange noise coming out of his room. I knocked on his door and asked what it was. He then said that he listens to recordings of air raid sirens because they have a "calming sound." (OK what kind of person thinks that way?! Very disturbing!) I had to wait the next morning to contact my RA to see if he could get removed, to no avail. Am I the only one who is deeply concerned for this obviously sick individual, and for my soul as well? Being forced to live with this is like the school is forcing my soul to get damaged. I need someone here with some authority to help and steer me in the right direction, even if it means to leave the college.

I am very fond of the story in Genesis where God destroys the evil cities of Sodom and Gomorrah because of their evil homosexuality and sodomy. Most of the world today acts like Sodom and Gomorrah did back then and their day will come too! Only those who pray and follow the word of the Lord will be safe from his wrath!

Only Jesus can offer the path to redemption, but only you can seek it. Once you take the path of the lord, you'll find the strength, through his love, to conquer these terrible afflictions of which you speak.

It is the only path to salvation.

Would you feel enlightened enough to confess elaborations of your sins before us, so that we, the communion of God's followers, may recommend relevant verse and scripture to your struggle.

I have grown up spiritually and have renounced my past sins. I was a sex addict and would not stop looking at pornography.

I would often act on these urges and have sex or abuse myself.

I have grown up and learned that only through prayer can I stop this wretched behavior! Whenever I feel urges I call my support (my friends in the Lord) and we gather together to pray. We get down on our knees and pray to the Lord for salvation! We do this for each other whenever we get these urges! We are all recovering from this evil that was once within us!

eew, that is just beyond disgusting! Why would anyone do something so detrimental to the self? I just thought going to a Private college meant this kind of thing would not be tolerated. I just have trouble seeing why someone could be this way. I pray for him, and will probably leave a note on his door saying I did
