Hey all, a quick question about the rules?

    In the introductory threads, you state (among other things) that;

"Q: Would you allow a mentally ill street person who speaks to himself in loud voices to sit on the front row during Sunday services?
A: No! Unsaved are NOT welcome!"

If this is the case, how come you then welcome the exact same person to stand in the pulpit during said Sunday service?

Anyway, I understand why you receive so much flak from people, but no one can claim that you don't follow the bible! I have never in my life seen such a pure collection of, well, purely evil, hate-filled people.
You have truly taken the word of Lord to your hearts!

I hope you receive more attention in the media world wide, people like you and organizations like this do more to spread rationality, scepticism and secularism than all the universities of the world combined!

(Unless this entire forum is just a huge prank, which I though it was at first. If so, you got me!)

Child, you make no sense. We do not let retards in the Church. Simple, even for a lower intellect life-form like you to grasp.

We do not hate anyone. In fact, I take cause to that comment and am greatly offended as a representative of Landover. I expect an apology. If you have a problem with the Bible, it s not with me , it is with God. I suggest you talk to Him to have written to suit YOU. Let me know how you make out.
Isaiah 45:7 I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.
Amos 3:6 Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be afraid? shall there be evil in a city, and the LORD hath not done it?
Numbers 21:6 And the LORD sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people; and much people of Israel died.
Matthew 10:34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.
Matthew 10:35 For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.
Matthew 10:36 And a man's foes shall be they of his own household.

Oh I can guarantee that my mental faculties are in tip-top condition! I would not be surprised if they were even in excess of yours tbh. But ad hominem attacks feels quite childish don't you think?

Oh now I think you lied, and what does the book tell us about lying? Are you telling me you have no qualms with say gay people, muslims or abortion doctors?

And you just said you don't like people who talk to themselves, and now you want me to talk to god? Make up your mind.

Talking to God is not talking to yourself.

        You are clearly a non-believer.

You are headed for hell and the never-ending probes of satan's flaming tallywacker.

If I am inside a room, with no phone or anything like that, and offer a prayer to god, the only one who hears my prayer is, well, me. Therefor, I am talking to myself. And I think me being a non-believer was quite clear from my first post, where I claimed to be a promoter of rationality and scepticism.

Be that as it may, but I would rather live my life to the fullest here, and so far, I have yet to meet anyone who has been to 'hell'. No one in the history of humanity has been there and returned to give testimony, and science has so far not given a shred of evidence to support the notion of an afterlife.

I guess you can say that I'm just making the 'safe' bet. Some want to play it risky, and i'm not one of them.
I prefer maths, statistics and physics when making my decisions. Not as thrilling, but without people like me, you wouldn't even be able to post your rants on the web!

Though claiming merits on the web is pointless, I am one year away from claiming my Masters in physics. And before that, I studied philosophy for two years.
I seriously doubt you have even made an effort to really grasp how the world works. I imagine your dad told you "The bible is true", and that was all the intellectual work you put into these questions.

Hehe, this was acually a quite clever twist. But seeing as how I find the entire idea of a 'god' offensive, no, I do not think I am god.

But I do think you are helping my side more than you side. You remind me of a sunni warrior in Afghanistan I heard about.
He joined the 'infidels' (the americans), after witnessing an 8-year old girl get decapitated by the taliban. He came to the conclusion that, even though he hated the americans, they were the lesser of two evils.

People like you put the mainstream religious in the same shoes. They have to make a choice, and most will rather side with the 'enemy' than side with you.

You also clearly demonstrate how horrible a book the bible really is, whilst the mainstream christians try to dance around all the hate, bigotry, slavery, incest and murder.

No, it is following Gods word. Our creator. We must do as he says if we want to go to Heaven.

Hehe, this was acually a quite clever twist. But seeing as how I find the entire idea of a 'god' offensive, no, I do not think I am god.

No, you are not very clever. People like you, with a few philosophy classes under their belt never are. In fact, you are mundanely predictable.
You can hate God, though Id rather you did not. You can think He is wrong. You can think that by him commanding us to follow His word uninspired. But we will be getting the last laugh come judgment day when we are going to Heaven and you are going to Hell. Think for a moment. Your last day on Earth then Poof!
You're dead. Whether due to your own disgusting sinning or the Lords divine will, you are dead. Instantly your soul begin falling towards the black abyss above Hell. The falling seems eternal as you gather speed and the heat begins to grow. Then you notice a red dot below you growing larger by the second, this is the Lake in the center of Hell. It is the brightest point in Hell therefore it is visible for a great distance. Keep in mind that the farther you fall, the further from Christ you are.
As you gain speed and the flames become apparent you may wonder how you can stop this from happening. The answer is simple. It's too late and you can't, you're doomed. Your soul is damned and it WILL happen. The temperature is now approaching the unbearable limit as your flesh begins to smoulder and ignite and you continue to build speed as you plummet toward the now visible boiling Lake of Fire. You can almost make out individual souls thrashing in the magma with your flaming eyesockets. Soon you will join them, your terror mounts as your screams become gargled with the stench of Hells evil smell. The heat becomes excruciating as you notice your skin peeling away and your bones becoming visible and black. Flaming and screaming in anguish, you splashdown into the acidic brimstone of Satans Lake at around 250 MPH. You are instantly vaporized and reformed as a tormented soul writhing in absolute terror in the deafening depths of the Lake that Burns Eternal. The pain is beyond comprehension as you gnash your teeth so hard they shatter in your mouth. Satan periodically plucks you from the flames to savagely rape repeatedly and casually tosses you to his infernal minions to rip apart and rape at will, only to be reformed and have this scenario repeated...over and over and over, forever.
Is it still funny mocking our mission to Save your soul? We want you to enjoy Heaven and eternal praise and worship at the feet of our Saviour the Lord Jesus Christ.

Unless you are Saved™ by Jesus Christ and His Holy website and favorite church, Landover Baptist, there is no other way to avoid this.

I am here because I by chance found this forum, and at first I was appalled. I thought "This must be a joke? People can't seriously think like this?"
Then I realized this is for real, and I found is so incredibly offensive that I just had to post some critique. I mean, there is a lot of stuff on the web that I find offensive, but your little group really took the cake!

Stuff like this, like your quote above. In my eyes, this is the same as my neighbour saying to me "I might kill my children today".
It's incredibly unnerving, and it makes me seriously doubt the sanity of the person saying it. It also puts me in a moral conundrum. Should I call the police? A psychiatric clinic? Obviously childrens lives are at stake, but then again, the web is the home of hyperbole.

I just hope you are all trolls, trying to freak people out.

Then I realized this is for real, and I found is so incredibly offensive that I just had to post some critique. I mean, there is a lot of stuff on the web that I find offensive, but your little group really took the cake!
We are used to you God haters coming on here and claiming everything we do is wrong. All we do is follow the Bible, the Word of God. The entity that created you, the Heavens and the Earth. Why you are so ungrateful simply amazes me. The turth here is you do not have a problem with us, you have a problem with God. What you are doing is hating the messenger.

Again, you make it sound like it is our opinion. We are simply following the Bible.
I just hope you are all trolls, trying to freak people out.

I do 'hate the message', but then I must ask you, how do you think I should feel towards a messanger that supports a message I find appalling?

To make my position a bit more clear. For example, if you had a daughter who got married today, would you think it was right and moral if tomorrow morning, her husband brought her to your house, and stoned her to death before your eyes because he found out that she was not a virgin on their wedding night?
The bible says that is what he should do, but I just can't accept that. Neither emotionally nor rationally is that something that she should be subjected to, nor something I would wish any father to have to go through.

The same goes with the situation where a young girl/woman gets raped. I don't think the most fitting punishment is for the rapist to be forced to marry her.
I somehow doubt that the woman would be very happy with that arrangement either.

It is your opinion that the bible is true. There is no rational motivation for beliving in the bible, it's a matter of faith. Therefore it is your opinion that this particular holy book is true, and all the others false.

I think it's a bit dishonest of you to profess the viewpoints presented by this forum, but in the next breath claim that it's not your opinion, but something you are forced into.
Even the bible claim we have free will, and therefore you are as responsible for your opinions as anyone else is for theirs.

Are you one of those waxk jobs that shoots the TV because there is a news story on your do not like? Do you go on murderous rampages killing girl scouts because the scout told you they are out of thin mints?

In those circumstances, he has every right to stone the whore. But, (and you would know this if you actually read the Bible and any threads you are referencing) God tells us we must follow His word in the confines of secular law.

Of course the Bible is true. That is our motivation for following it as well as the knowledge it is Gods rule book.I am not forced into following it. No one is. If everyone was forced, you'd actually know what you are talking about. God gave us free will. It is critical we give unto Him freely.

We do not express our opinions on this forum. We express
                              Gods word.
