Re: Tea Party Minister
I have no idea who John Stossel is, but as somebody who is out there pounding the pavement several days a week, preaching on street corners in San Francisco's Castro and Polk Street neighborhoods, I can tell by looking at his photograph that Tea Party is very obviously a "leather daddy."
Why he would come here and pretend to be a good Christian is beyond my comprehension. That he would wave his phony credentials from a phony church in our faces is kind of insulting. I won't complain, however, as I've certainly had leather daddies wave far more objectionable things in my face.WARNING:

Re: Tea Party Minister
That was a photo of me when I was younger. I don't look so handsome anymore, but as you can see, I still have the mustache.

Well friend, congratulations on becoming a Forum Member. I can't help but notice, however, that you have not specifically denied being a leather daddy.WARNING:

Re: Tea Party Minister
I'm sure I don't know what a leather daddy is, but I know you youngsters have all sorts of slang that an old God-fearing man like myself could never keep up with. Motorcyclists and homers come to mind. I am neither, just a simple blue-eyed white man on The Path to Salvation© with you.(1 Timothy 2:12) (King James Version): But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence.

Thank you, Rev. Harry! I am honored by your compliments. I rejoice in the opportunity to celebrate the terrible temporary death of Jesus with you. We are so blessed that God gave his only begotten son, to sacrifice his life for a few days, and spontaneously and magically absolve all of our sins.

Re: Tea Party Minister
Does a tea party not imply partying, i.e. taking hard drugs (a sin), and drinking tea (something I do not believe to be allowed by the Bible- does it say anywhere that drinking tea is okay?).

Where did you get that idea? You think that people can't have a party without hard drugs?Originally posted by Frederick Bloomers View PostDoes a tea party not imply partying, i.e. taking hard drugs (a sin), and drinking tea (something I do not believe to be allowed by the Bible- does it say anywhere that drinking tea is okay?).
As for drinking tea, are you a Mormon? Where in the Bible does it say thou shalt not drink tea?Drama queen

Yes. Here:Originally posted by Frederick Bloomers View PostDoes a tea party not imply partying, i.e. taking hard drugs (a sin), and drinking tea (something I do not believe to be allowed by the Bible- does it say anywhere that drinking tea is okay?).
GENESIS 1:11-12, 29-30, 31
And God said, Let the Earth bring foorth grasse, the herbe yeelding seed, and the fruit tree, yeelding fruit after his kinde, whose seed is in it selfe, vpon the earth: and it was so. And the earth brought foorth grasse, and herbe yeelding seed after his kinde, and the tree yeelding fruit, whose seed was in it selfe, after his kinde:
and God saw that it was good
.• And God said, Behold, I haue giuen you euery herbe bearing seede, which is vpon the face of all the earth, and euery tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yeelding seed, to you it shall be for meat: And to euery beast of the earth, and to euery foule of the aire, and to euery thing that creepeth vpon the earth, wherein there is life, I haue giuen euery greene herbe for meat: and it was so.
• And God saw euery thing that hee had made: and behold, it was very good. And the euening and the morning were the sixth day.

Note that God does not say that everything He had created was "Very Good" .. except tea?

Re: Tea Party Minister
A lot of those Tea Partiers are Libertarians. You're not a Libertarian, are you? They have a lot of dangerous ideas, not the least of which is the notion that the government should be kept out of people's lives. That's just fine as long as the government is controlled by atheists, but I feel a Christian government should certainly be allowed to check and make sure you're not committing sodomy or wearing women's underwear under your clothes.WARNING:
