I feel as though I am becoming addicted to water as a replacement for the bourbon I used to always drink. Does that make water evil? Should I shun water and give it up for the lord?

Without water Baptism is impossible. Bourbon on the other hand is the devil's drink. What does any of this have to do with Jesus?

Because GOD doesn't love everyone. Too many people have this absurd idea in their heads that GOD is all loving.
If he was all loving, then murderers, thieves and homosexuals would be waiting for you in Heaven.
