    Hi there,

My name is Alex, and I have been saved for most of my life. I didn't register for this forum because I subscribe to your beliefs. I subscribed because I love Christ, and I feel that such hateful talk does not glorify him.

"Love is patient, love is kind, it does not envy it does not boast, it is not proud, it is not rude, it is not self-seeking. It is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs, love does not delight in evil, but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails." 1 Corinthians 13:4

I know that I am not perfect, and I know that you are not either. That said, it is not our place to judge others.

Although I strongly disagree with your verbiage and methodology, I hope the best for you. God does love everyone, but he doesn't love everything they do (including spreading hatred).

Welcome Alex, I'm sorry you find the venomous speech against our Lord so offensive. The pastors however believe it is best to leave such language up for the unsaved trash to learn from. After all, did not Jesus say

Luke 21:17 And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake.

Oh my, I see you're one of those NIV (per)version lovers. Perhaps we should see what the KJV Bible says.

Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up,

Hmm........ bit of a difference, well let's go back to the 1611 Bible, after all, it stood the time of 400 years without needing "changing".

Charitie suffereth long, and is kinde: charitie enuieth not: charitie vaunteth not it selfe, is not puffed vp,

Yes, it does seem to say Charity.

I know that I am not perfect, and I know that you are not either. That said, it is not our place to judge others.
Now see what the NIV does, The Bible does say that True Christians(TM) are perfect, in fact we are not only called to be perfect, but we are called to judge others RIGHTEOUSLY.

Matthew 5:48 Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.

2nd Timothy 4:1-5 I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom; Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine. For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables. But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry.

I am sorry that you have been led astray by the 1960's "Jesus Freaks". You do realize that, that is where the term "Jesus Freak" came from right? They're the people who thought that you could get closer to God from dropping acid, than by going to a Bible believing Church. Unfortunately a lot of wolves in sheep clothing, readily created a place for them.

Although I strongly disagree with your verbiage and methodology, I hope the best for you. God does love everyone, but he doesn't love everything they do (including spreading hatred).
Once again, you seem to have not read your Bible. God definitely does not love everyone.

Or can you explain the following scripture.

    God Hates:Hypocrites (Matthew 24:51)
    The Unforgiving (Mark 11:26)
    Homosexuals (Romans 1:26, 27)
    Fornicators (Romans 1:29)
    The Wicked (Romans 1:29)
    The Covetous (Romans 1:29)
    The Malicious (Romans 1:29)
    The Envious (Romans 1:29)
    Murderers (Romans 1:29)
    The Deceitful (Romans 1:29)
    Backbiters (Romans 1:30)
    Haters of God (Romans 1:30)
    The Despiteful (Romans 1:30)
    The Proud (Romans 1:30)
    Boasters (Romans 1:30)
    Inventors of evil (Romans 1:30)
    Disobedient to parents (Romans 1:30)
    Covenant breakers (Romans 1:31)
    The Unmerciful (Romans 1:31)

      Re: Introduction

"The Lord our God is merciful and forgiving, even though we have rebelled against him..." --Daniel 9:9

"As far as the East is from the West, so far has he removed our transgressions from us." --Psalm 103:12

I am not perfect, nor are you. It is because of this that Christ sacrificed himself for mankind. If you were perfect, you would not need to be saved. You are only 'cleansed' now because Christ provided you that mercy.

I understand that I have sinned, and I am thoroughly confused by your citing a list of 'damnable' offenses. Surely you cannot say that you have not committed one of those before ("Unmerciful", maybe?).

Although we do differ in opinion, I truly hope that you are afforded the mercy you deny others.

Well first of all, it would really help if you stepped away from the NIV. It is a perversion of Satan created to confuse those who would come to Jesus.

        Daniel 9:9 To the Lord our God belong mercies and forgivenesses, though we have rebelled against him;

Psalm 103:12 As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us.

That being said, yes God can be merciful, but he isn't merciful to everyone.

Romans 9:18 Therefore hath he mercy on whom he will [have mercy], and whom he will he hardeneth.

I am not perfect, nor are you. It is because of this that Christ sacrificed himself for mankind. If you were perfect, you would not need to be saved. You are only 'cleansed' now because Christ provided you that mercy.
Why would Jesus tell us to be perfect if indeed it was impossible? I don't understand you NIV people. Somehow you think you say a few magic words and you can keep on sinning all you want and because you tell Jesus you're sorry, you get off scott free.

John 5:14 Afterward Jesus findeth him in the temple, and said unto him, Behold, thou art made whole: sin no more, lest a worse thing come unto thee.

Yet Jesus told us to "go and sin no more", repeatedly. Paul stated that those who are in Jesus, cannot sin.

1st John 1:7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.

I understand that I have sinned, and I am thoroughly confused by your citing a list of 'damnable' offenses. Surely you cannot say that you have not committed one of those before ("Unmerciful", maybe?).
Of course I probably committed them before I was saved. But once saved, you cannot sin. In fact if you do sin, it's proof that you are NOT SAVED!

1st John 3:6-9 Whosoever abideth in him sinneth not: whosoever sinneth hath not seen him, neither known him. Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous. He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil. Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.

Although we do differ in opinion, I truly hope that you are afforded the mercy you deny others.
So you think that mercy is telling people that it's okay if they continue in their sinful lives because Jesus loves them no matter what? How is that mercy? Is it not more merciful to warn them of the fires of Hell and try and sway them onto the right path?

Matthew 7:14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

As Sister BIG has already mentioned, the source of your confusion lies in the "bible" You are using.

Once you have secured a copy of a proper KJV Bible and read it all the way through, please come back and post any verses that still fail to make sense to you, or that you feel we are using wrong in any way.

          Yours in Christ,
