    Re: Hello

Of course God is capable of making airplanes fly. What I'm asking, is why we need things such as fuel, an engine, and proper aerodynamics if God is the only thing required.

No, I think it is more likely that God created the Universe to work like it does. A Universe where airplanes need fuel and pigs don't fly of their own accord.

I feel blessed being able to deliver the Truth of the one True God

You're a fool. If God wanted pigs to fly they would. Through Jesus all things are possible. ALL things.

Matthew 19:26 But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.

I'm glad to have educated you then

They are similar in the fact that their wings all curve the same way (not the shape, just the midsections) and they all have a form of propulsion that requires fuel.

If the only thing keeping airplanes in the sky was God, then their would be no need for a similar design, an engine, fuel, or really much of anything.

So these are the same basic design?

    I did not know that!

That's the reason why an airplane (or lid) can't fly if its not moving fast enough.

I'd like to know exactly who you think you are, Mr. Man. What gives you the right to ask "why" of God? His knowledge and abilities are incomprehensible! He knows more than you and everyone you know put together!

Isaiah 55:8-9: For my thoughts [are] not your thoughts, neither [are] your ways my ways, saith the LORD. For [as] the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.

Nonsense. If your conjecture were true, my trash can lids would never stay on the cans. They meet your criteria and would constantly be airborne.

No, airplanes fly if God decides that they should. And they don't fly (or cease flying) when He sees that those who hate Him are aboard. It's that simple. Just give thanks to Him!

If I didn't design aircraft with this principle in mind, our Godly military wouldn't have any aircraft with which to combat our enemies. God truly is good to provide for us

The equation I used isn't made to mock God, it was made to understand the movement of fluids. There is absolutely no difference between Cranky's equation and mine. The reason I came here was to seek help and understanding. If Cranky or someone qualified to speak on such matters could help me understand his Godly method I would be thankful.

Oh goodie, another Mensa atheist. You know, I think we should award a prize to the first Janitor, or any other low end job, atheist that shows up.

Well why don't you crack your own Bible open and find out for yourself?

The demands we impose on our atheist visitors are so onerous.

I work as a mechanical engineer to design aircraft for the US Air Force, so it is vital that I use certain tools to aid me, such as fluid dynamics.

Also, Cranky gave me the same equation I was already using except he called it by another name.

I am not trolling anyone with math (I haven't even written any math here), I simply wanted your assistance in proving it. I'm sure the theory of fluid dynamics is in the Bible, I just need your help finding it (Cranky obviously found it earlier).

Are you seriously here to troll us with Maths??
Let's talk dirty then. Linguistics. Between myself and Bible Student (2 Christians whose capacity for languages ancient and modern is unequalled) we'd leave you mentally ragged and looking for an ambulance to show up.

"Fluid Dynamics" sounds like joo doubletalk. Are you wanting to know how fast the water rose during the great flood? Is that it son?
