Greetings from the land of rain on Earth.

Greetings from Scotland, my fellow brothers (and sisters) in Christ.

I am a new Christian (just two weeks converted) and attend an evangelical church when I can - although I do not wish to disclose which, in order to avoid sectarian bigotry which is so prevalent in Scotland between Protestant and Catholic Christians... and almost everyone else, Christian, Islamic or no.
I don't know much about the Bible, but I prefer the New International Version or The Message for general reading. My favourite Bible passage is the entirety of 1 Corinthians 13.

    Yours,
    Element.

Why do you hate God so much? Is it the bad diet of potatos and bathtub Scotch?
Isaiah 45:7 I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.
Amos 3:6 Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be afraid? shall there be evil in a city, and the LORD hath not done it?
Numbers 21:6 And the LORD sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people; and much people of Israel died.
Matthew 10:34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.
Matthew 10:35 For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.
Matthew 10:36 And a man's foes shall be they of his own household.

Welcome, Scottie. Glad you joined the team, if in fact you really have.

        Catholics are not Christians.

Only Baptists (and not even all of those claiming to be...) are Christians. Your 'Evangelical' church is highly suspect until verified by us.

In the spirit of helpfulness, which we're known for world-wide, let me help introduce you to the One True Religion - Landover Baptist! True Christians™ do not worship the apostate demon in Rome, nor Jesus' mother, nor pray to or through a laundry list of so-called 'saints.' We don't believe in cannibalism like the catlickers do, with their eating the actual flesh of Christ and drinking His actual blood. (Christianity isn't a zombie movie.) We don't need the human intercession of a gay, child-molesting Priest in a funny dress to help us communicate with Jesus. And the whole nunnery bride-of-Christ thing, well, that's just creepy.

We use the King James Bible, v1611, exclusively as the Word of God. Not the 'divinely inspired' word, but THE literal Word.

All other versions of the Bible belong to what you call Protestant "churches", which are phony Fluffy Bunny weak knock-offs just like a toaster made in China. Unlike them, we think it's obvious that no queer or lowly woman should speak in church, much less be ordained (I need my heart meds every time I think on that) in a church. Gays should not be allowed past the front door, and we have some huge security guards at Landover to enforce it with advanced gay-dar.

There are many other things that set us apart from, and above, every demon-infested "church" - which is nearly all of them. You will discover our joyous ongoing lifetime Word Of God celebration as you browse this site.

ps, Please lose the skirt, it makes Scots look like flaming homers.

ps to your ps - Yes, we Trademark important words, because of their misuse by those Protestants and Catlicks you mentioned. It's like God's Seal of Approval of Landover.
Leviticus 13:44 He is a leprous man, he is UNCLEAN: the priest shall pronounce him utterly UNCLEAN; his plague is in his head.

2 Kings 6:25 And there was a great famine in Samaria: and, behold, they besieged it, until an ass's head was sold for fourscore pieces of silver, and the fourth part of a cab of dove's dung for five pieces of silver.

Re: Greetings from the land of rain on Earth.

Ignore my last post, I didn't see landoverlover's one.

So, the Vatican is invalid - and I agree with this. A man with a big hat is still a man. The principle of Communion and transubstantiation is also 'wrong'... but isn't it sanctified under Luke 27:19-20?

"And he took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to them, saying, 'This is my body given for you; do this in remembrance of me.' In the same way, after the supper he took the cup, saying, 'This cup is the new covenant in my blood, which is poured out for you.'"

I don't wear a kilt, too breezy for my liking. And it just feels wrong, although it is the only time it is legal for a knife to be carried in Britain...

Son, you need to get a KJV1611 Bible, and you need to get it fast before the words of the blasphemers rot your brain.

Isaiah 45:7 I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.
Amos 3:6 Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be afraid? shall there be evil in a city, and the LORD hath not done it?

Sorry, typo, it's Luke 22:19-20. Here's how the same passage runs from my KJV (I have three Bibles: a KJV, an NCV and an NIV)

"And he took bread, and gave thanks, and brake it, and gave unto them, saying, This is my body which is given for you: this do in remembrance of me.
Likewise also the cup after supper, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood, which is shed for you."
Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen. - Ephesians 3:20-21

See, there's the problem. Luke doesn't have 27 chapters. I think your evangelicals might have nipped and tucked God's Word.

What Christ was saying at the Last Supper was that He had sacrificed His body and blood for them. Both were right there in front of the disciples to witness, and both body and blood would soon suffer earthly destruction for their sakes. He surely didn't mean we're eating 2000 year old flesh and blood once a month, like spoiled Spam and plasma that's been left out in the sun.
