Hmmm....

I've read the KJV 1611 Bible cover to cover, and I can't find the words, "treat others as you wish to be treated" anywhere in it.

Back when I was still mired in Lutheranism, I even read other debased and altered versions of the Bible, and even those didn't contain any variation of "treat others as you wish to be treated," nor any mention of a "Golden Rule."

Are you sure you weren't reading Karl Marx's Communist Manifesto or A Course in Miracles?

It's very simple, friend: Tell Jesus right now that you are sorry for all the sin in your life and ask Him to take control of your heart, mind, and destiny:

Bam, you're saved!

That wasn't so hard, now was it? Naturally, you'll need to get baptized by a Bible-believing (i.e., not "happy clappy") Baptist pastor as soon as possible, in order to make sure your salvation doesn't wear off.

As to your question regarding the implications of being saved? Well friend, I'd say the first implication I can think of off the top of my head is that, unlike all the Jews, Hindus, atheists, and Presbyterians, you won't have to spend all of eternity being gang-raped by Satan and his demons!
