  • Hello

My name is Vivian Latreal, and I am sixteen years old. I am the seventh and last child of my parents Tyler and Catherine. I have been attending San Marcos Baptist Academy since I was thirteen, and before that I was home schooled by my father who is a Pastor at our local church The Bethel Baptist Church in San Marcos. In just a years time I am to be married to Hank, the son of my father's closest friend. Recently my friend Sophie let demons persuade her to sin, and in the end she took her own life. It has been really hard on me lately, and I was talking to Mrs. Ritchie (our Guidance Counselor) and she told me that a friend of hers was on this site and it really inspired him. She didn't tell me his name but did tell me that you were all the best of Christians. I have been eternally grateful to our Lord and Savior for my life, and in return I have never sinned, for in his Grace is the only place to be. Since I can remember my favorite verse has been Romans 5:1. For all I ever want is peace through our Lord Jesus Christ.

I apologize for the lengthiness of my post, but I an nervous and I tend to ramble.

      Hello Vivian,

If you continue reading in Romans 5 you see that the death of Sophie is part of God's Divine Plan to make you a better person:

(Romans 5:3) "And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience."

      Yours in Christ,

      Z. Smyth

Oh thank you Elena. You are so kind.

Yes Mr. Smyth. Knowing her death was not in vain, and will truly help all in the end is what kept me tied to my faith. I know God's Divine Plan will usher those who do not lose faith into Paradise.

Once one has sinned against the Lord, the shame often overwhelms one and one must simply slay oneself. After all, God is so pure and Holy that to sin against Him, even in the slightest, is to commit an infinitely unwholesome abomination. I know I would kill myself if I was a filthy sinner too.
James 2:10 For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.

                  Almost. She's in Texas.

Welcome, Vivian, I assume your father, the Pastor, has discussed your posting privileges here with Pastor Ezekiel?

                    Re: Hello

No sir not yet. He has given me verbal permission, but he has not yet spoken to Pastor Ezekiel. I must have overlooked something when reading the guidelines, and I am so sorry. I shall go back and reread them. Shall I have my father make an account himself or how should he contact him?

As for your inquiry Faith Machine, no my blood is pure and my skin is not tainted by the colors of sin. I do live in Texas, but our roots go back to when the Americans saved us fro
the terrible clutches of the Spanish. My father says our family has been given Gods grace for tearing ourselves from such a nasty race, and it our duty to stay pure and to help others see the Light of God.

I am American. I'm sorry, I feel slightly confused. Does being born in Texas not make me American? All I said was my ancestors were among those who came to Texas and took the land from the Spanish.

If your identity is all wrapped up in who your immigrant ancestors were, then you are failing to understand the meaning of being a True American(tm).

I was confused because you'd previously said, "...our roots go back to when the Americans saved us fro [SIC] the terrible clutches of the Spanish," thus implying that you were neither Spanish, nor American.
