Greetings, all! I'm new to this forum.

Hello! I'm Amelia-Maria, aspiring Secondary Education major and drama minor. I'm currently taking college classes so I can become a highschool English teacher in the future. The reason I'd like to become a teacher (preferably in a kind, quiet private school) is because I enjoy teaching little children about the great things God can do for them and what they can do in return. After all, I've been educated in the Lord since I was very small.

I'm nineteen years old in a family of five: My loving mother, my awesome and hilarious father, my adorable fifteen-year-old brother and the best little sister in the world. I adore my family and my pets (a puppy and a blue parakeet). Thank God for a family who loves each other, am I right?

My favorite Bible verse is Psalm 121:7-8: "The LORD will keep you from all harm - he will watch over your life; the LORD will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore." What an excellent verse to keep those scary shadows away from kids when they're afraid of the dark! My mother told me this one when I was about six years old.

My family attends church every Sunday and I am frequently in charge of the Children's Church that goes on during the adult service. I care for the very little kids (under six years old) and give them snacks and read them Bible stories until their parents return to pick them up.

Oh, and I'm an African-American female. I have no clue what African country my ancestors were taken from, so that is of no interest to me. What IS interesting is that I am also part German, Irish, and Russian.

As such, I am well-educated. I recieved a 5.0 grade point average in school, and I took at least five Advanced-Placement classes. I was accepted into the National Louis University Gifted Program at the age of eleven, and I was also accepted into the Humanities Honors program at my school. Sixty students out of one-hundred-and-twenty are allowed into Humanities, so I thank God that I was able to pull off such a feat. In Humanities, I learned toleration. "Love your neighbor as you love yourself", right? I have friends who are Muslim, Buddhist, Gay, Lesbian, and who are overall of different races.

I feel that God wants me to be the best person I can be. How can I do that? By making friends and respecting everyone I meet, even if I feel unrespected in turn. "Turn", haha. I must "turn the other cheek", as it were.

So, it's very nice to meet you! I look forward to holding a few conversations in the future here, with all of you other lovely Christians!

    - Amelia-Maria

    What makes you so "phenomenal?"

    You smell funny....

Oh, dear! Was it you who changed my username from PhenomenalWoman to PhenomenalSlut? Haha, I thought that was clever of you.

Phenomenal Woman is a poem written by Maya Angelou. I've found it to be inspirational to any woman who's suffering from a low self-esteem. An unhappy wife certainly wouldn't make a happy home, right?

      How are you?

Hello and welcome dear american-negro friend!
But that poem... well, I didn't like it. It seems to be about some fat woman who makes all the men want to copulate with her...

        I walk into a room
Just as cool as you please,
        And to a man,
        The fellows stand or
        Fall down on their knees.
        Then they swarm around me,
        Yours in Christ

Yes, that poem can be misinterpreted, huh? I'd have to find one of my old English essays I write on Maya Angelou to explain it, haha.

"Black" or "African-American" is fine. I'm not as dark as some people are probably imagining.

And how are you, my dear Caucasian friend? Well, I hope? Oh, and do you know of a way to change one's username again? I'm afraid I'm not very fond of PhenomenalSlut.

Our family fostered three puppies from a shelter who found the little ones in a field. The shelter is sure that the puppies were border collies because of their markings. Hopefully, our little Ruby grows up to be a big dog, since our last dog was quite small.

              Yours also in Christ,

Sure, someone 'changed your name', right out of the blue.

Why aren'yt being focused on what God wants? The entire world revolves around Him, not you. Why are you so selfish?
You should be finding a husband and in the mean time, learningall about cooking and cleaning. I can assure you, bad food and a messy home will get your esteem corrected pretty fast.
Why do you want to go against Gods wishes?
Isaiah 45:7 I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.
Amos 3:6 Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be afraid? shall there be evil in a city, and the LORD hath not done it?
Numbers 21:6 And the LORD sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people; and much people of Israel died.
Matthew 10:34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.
Matthew 10:35 For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.
Matthew 10:36 And a man's foes shall be they of his own household.

A nigress? Have you got all your teeth? Firm thighs? I might have work for you. One of the old mammies in my servant quarters is too feeble to do much of anything these days. I've been thinking about turning her out and taking on a young one.

I have no reason to lie, thanks.

Now, now, let's not start with assumptions concerning how I live, shall we? I assure you, I know plenty about keeping a household, but I am also educating myself as well. I find no harm in a woman learning how to professionally teach children to respect themselves, others, and (most importantly) God. Where in my introduction did I ever mention that I was a bad cook and could not clean a house?

Amelia is fine. I'm still working on changing my username, since someone thought that God finds amusement in the persecution of others.

Back in the 1800s, of course it'd be a handicap. Nowadays, it's quite the blessing. Where I'm living, schools are looking for more diverse teachers in the public and private school systems.

                        And to dear Pastor Ezekiel,
I assure you, I'm quite fit, but I will stick with my own future work as a teacher. Back in the days of slavery, perhaps your ancestors might have had oodles of slaves and servants, but the Civil Rights movement has taken its course. I'm certain that if modern-day African-Americans were pressured to slavery, you might find yourself with quite the revolution, haha.

Again, you've changed my username. How VERY clever of you. You must feel accomplished, cutting down a free woman who's done nothing but hold an honest conversation with you.

Yes, I supposed I am mouthy, but only when I feel as if I'm not getting the respect every human being on this Earth deserves. Do you give respect to others, Pastor? Or do you demean them in your own private mind, hoping that God is alright with your petty actions? How often do you pray for your neighbors' wellbeing, rather than rain rude accusations upon them? Do you love yourself as you love others, and vice versa?
                            1 Corinthians 11:3
But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God.
