Is it a sin to change my name?
As you know, My name is Gypsy. Yes, that is the name my mother has given me. Growing up I thought it was unique and cool, always getting attention by people, especially boys. But recently I found out my name means "prostitute". I didn't grow up in church, but now that I am 18, I'm starting to make my own decisions and wanted to go back to church. I love Jesus but I fear that he doesn't love me, because I was born from fornication and never met my father. I do not want a whore name. I try my best to bring my mother to understand the teachings of Christ but she's such a whore and wont listen to me. I understand I am suppose to honor my mother & father, but how do I honor such a whore?
