    Re: Young Christian Wife/Mom-to-Be

My sincerest apologies to both the members of this site and to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! I didn't mean to leave out my interest in baking, especially pies!

My husband says my pies are the best, especially my peach pie. I knew it was his favorite so I tried to practice my recipe before our wedding.

Thank you all very much for commenting in my thread. I wanted to assure Yeshua, and any other concerned members, that I do stay away from the internet and keep low contact with others during my "time of month" but I do not plan on having my flow very often, at least for a while. I hope to get pregnant quickly again after delivering my little soldier!

I feel very thankful for your gracious welcome messages!

Brothers and Sisters, enough of this beating around the bush. Miss Unworthy07 has indicated an interest in cooking, but curiously didn't mention baking.

Miss U07, is this some sort of back door way of saying you don't bake pies?

If so, I greatly fear that your husband may be falling down on his husbandly duties, i.e., ignoring one of the finer things in life - a wonderful taste of his wife's pie at the end of a fine meal.

    Please clear up this mystery.

Thank you, Redeemed Papist, for pointing out this grave mistake on my part. I can see after re-reading my post that it seems very prideful, and I pray forgiveness from both you, the rest of the True Christians here at Landover Baptist Church, and my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

What I should have written is that I believe God would be fine with her being here, under the circumstances. I meant no disrespect, and I repent of my prideful ways.

Provided, of course, you're not with the devil's flow, in which case you would be unclean (Leviticus 15). During that time, I would ask that you refrain at least from posting in threads in which I have posted.

Maybe you're only concerned for your soul in the present, but I prefer to remain constantly vigilant for anything that might render me unclean or unworthy in the eyes of my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
    I agree with you there.

Funny enough, we used to keep rabbits on my parents' property. We never ate them (Leviticus 11:6 ) and I no longer want them around in my husband's home, they're pretty gross once you've owned them and had to clean their messes up!

To answer the other questions.. Unfortunately, it wasn't intended to be an atheist site, but it had been taken over by angry whores trying to defend their ways. So, don't worry, I wouldn't be learning anything from them other than how to TYPE IN ALL CAPS!

And yes, I had considered 1 Corinthians 14:35, but explored the site first and saw that many women posted here. I asked my husband's opinion and he said it looked like an open forum for both (rather than a church setting in which I am to remain quiet and ask him questions later) but yes, it is a good point, and I can certainly see why you brought it up. If I am unwelcome, I will go --
In the meantime I am lurking much more than I am posting. I'm learning from the pages here things that were never taught to me in church - for example, I was raised on the KJB simply because it was the most direct word that had not been translated and interpreted over and over. I did not know about Harper Collins and their overzealous support of homosexuality.

Just what were you learning on that atheist forum? And if you study the Word of God, as you claim, surely you've read 1 Corinthians 14:35.

You should be learning about my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ from your husband, not this forum, and certainly not some fetus-eating atheists.

    Welcome to our friendly forum!

Are those salads to feed the rabbits you will then eat?

    Young Christian Wife/Mom-to-Be

Hi everyone, I'm very glad to meet you all.

My name is Rachel, and I am a 21 year old Christian woman living in Florida. I have attended a Baptist church since birth. It is the church I was baptized in, and is also the church that I got married in. In fact, most of my family members including my parents were married in this church!

I have always lived what I consider to be a devout lifestyle. My husband and I met at a young age as we went to school together - it was the private school at our church, with only 11 students in our grade. We were very close friends until we graduated, when he asked my father to have me as his wife. Needless to say, I was thrilled about that! We remained virgins until married.

We have now been married one year since August, and I am pregnant with our first child. To God be the Glory!! Lately, I find that much of my study involves child-bearing, as I am just fascinated with it currently. It's difficult not to think about with feeling sick all the time

Other than being pregnant, I am a home maker. We also have a few animals that I tend to, and I have a vegetable garden for the delight of making my own salads. We still live devoutly. I stay home, keep the house clean, and look forward to taking care of our new baby and hopefully many more. I really like cooking, as well as studying the KJB (none other) a few hours a day.

Hmm.. My favorite Bible verse isn't easy to choose. I have a few that immediately come to mind. I'll choose Deutoronomy 28:56-57.
"The tender and delicate women among you, which would not adventure to set the sole of her foot upon the ground for delicateness and tenderness, her eye shall be evil toward the husband of her bosom, and toward her son, and toward her daughter, and toward her young one that cometh out from between her feet, and toward her children which she shall bear: for she shall eat them for want of all things secretly in the siege and straitness, wherewithin thine enemy shall distress the in thy gates."

This verse speaks to me particularly about my role as a wife - and, in just a few months, a mom too. I do ask my husband's permission before using the internet (and I allow him to see the history of what I've done) I do not do the things he doesn't want me to do. Likewise, I also don't just sit around like many of my fellow church-going young women who have also gotten married and pregnant! They believe that all their work for their husband and their Lord is over, and they do not continue to contribute. It shocks me. I fear that they will worship the children as their own, rather than give their child as a soldier for Christ.. But I pray for the best. I pray, too, that I will not be tempted by this problem as so many mothers are.

This morning, I came across this website by simple coincidence while reading some very saddening comments from atheists on a forum. I ended up reading much more than I originally intended to, because I realized the things I was learning! Although I have always lead a Christian lifestyle and have believed in Jesus Christ and the Scripture, there are many facts here that have not been pieced together before me in this way. I will be glad to share my findings with my husband when he comes home.

I hope to learn from many of you! I realize some will disagree, but I am peaceful and I don't want to fight. I hope to read your responses later, after my extended study and taking lunch to my husband. And, finally, I hope to make friends here that I can trust for truthful answers to my questions. I have a few, but for now, I believe I have typed enough for one post.

    Pleased to meet you,
    Rachel
