    My favourite quote:

    2 Kings 4:7
Then she came, and told the man of God: and he said, Goe, sell the oyle, and pay thy DEBT, and liue thou and thy children of the rest.

No more oil - no more DEBT: I'm free

A fine quote, especially when taken in context. Elisha tells the woman to sell her oil to prevent her sons from being enslaved. 2 Kings 4:1-7

Now, how about a proper introduction, in which you tell us what church you attend, how you first allowed Jesus to come into you, and why you haven't prayed hard enough for my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, to heal your stricken eyes so you no longer require glasses.

Yours in my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ,

Welcome friend, this is a Christian forum, not a place to push an evil, left wing agenda.

Please tell us about yourself, which church you attend, and why in fact your faith is so weak that you do indeed, still need glasses.

Mr. ErosPrattle, unfortunately the US of A doesn’t have enough oil resources to supply its own demand, what else to sell it abroad (if that was your idea to pay off the foreign debt) - regardless how scripturally correct is your quote.

I see you posted your favorite verse; however, next time please also post the reference. In this case, you posted Exodus 13:16 "And it shall be for a token upon thine hand, and for frontlets between thine eyes: for by strength of hand the Lord brought us forth out of Egypt."

As a fan of Exodus, I am sure you are also familiar with a preceding verse which agrees with your favorite verse, Exodus 13:9 " And it shall be for a sign unto thee upon thine hand, and for a memorial between thine eyes, that the Lord’s law may be in thy mouth: for with a strong hand hath the Lord brought thee out of Egypt."

Is the Lord's law in your mouth friend? I pray it be so.

It’s not up to your will, but to God’s one (read Proverbs 3:5-6)

Besides, slavery is scripturally correct (read Leviticus 25:44-46, Exodus 21:2-11; Ephesians 6:5, 1 Timothy 6:1-2); the slave owner is only not allowed to kill his property in an instant manner (read Exodus 21:20-21). I can’t see any problem here.

Thank you (again) - this time for correcting me. For reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness I will try posting another relevant quote. I hope I will get this right:

http://biblia.com/books/asv/Ex13.3 And Moses said unto the people, Remember this day, in which ye came out from Egypt, out of the house of bondage; for by strength of hand Jehovah brought you out from this place: there shall no leavened bread be eaten.

This is the introduction forum. Please tell us about yourself, your church, and how you came to find Jesus.

I would remind you that we are all in debt to Jesus, because He temporarily suffered and died for our sins. That's a debt we all have.

Hmmm...which version are you reading friend? It's obviously not the KJV1611 because I looked up that same verse in mine, and the words "house of bondage" aren't in bold.

Or is your Bible a special, bold-print edition because you can't see so well...because you don't have lenses in your glasses?

Well, I've read your posts several times and I still don't know a damned thing about you.

What church do you go to? How many Soldiers for Christ has your help meet plopped out? What miracles has Jesus done PERSONALLY for you today?

                        That sort of thing.

                          Re: DEBT

My church is Ministry of Nathanael, outside Locust Grove. I found Christ after a sinful evening with heavy drinking and mixing with harlots and other fallen women. These prostitutes would bend their bodies backward, then forward, so far that their heads almost touched the ground -- back and forth, back and forth.

That night, naked in the woods (don't ask) I saw the shining, thundering light and knew that God was with me, and was able to give me the victory over all the opposition of men, devils and hipsters.
