I know I am only a humble housewife, but I believe that my brother was a good man. His greatest wish was to be able to walk into God's enternal kingdom. So perhaps that is why God took away his mortal life so that he may live forever in the glory of heaven looking down upon those sinners who burn forever in hell. His death also led me to my husband and to my discovery of Jesus. Praise the Lord!

When I was young and naive I always fancied myself a pious little girl. I went to church, read from the Bible, and prayed. But then my asthma got really bad so that I couldn't go outside most days and my older brother developed cancer. I still went to church when I could, read the Bible every day, and prayed often, but my faith in God wavered. I think that somewhere deep down I blamed God for my trouble. I felt that he had abandoned me. Then I met Mike. His father had cancer as well and we met while going to visit in the hospital. Mike and I soon became close friends. He taught me that I should embrace whatever God has given me and that he gave me these things for a reason. He said that I would never be at peace until I truly believed in the words I read in the Bible, until my prayers meant something to me. His words spoke to me. A change came in my life. I embraced my troubles. They had led me to Mike. God has a plan for all of us and it is up to us whether we follow it. Now, I can only hope that I'm on the path God set for me.

And as he journeyed, he came near Damascus: and suddenly there shined round about him a light from heaven: And he fell to the earth, and heard a voice saying unto him, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me? You are so right ThelmaSue. Maybe as a woman you can explain Elizabeth's thinking to us. Wouldn't her female bits be drying up by now at her age?

Elizabeth, please don't take my statement the wrong way as I am only concerned about your welfare and safety. Or were you inspired by Elizabeth, Mary's cousin? Elizabeth has alaways been a great inspiration to me. Because of her and her husband's belief in the Lord they were able to bear a son against all odds.

I did not mean always literaly, of course that would be imposible. Even the truest of Christians is unclean when they first come into this world. I merely meant that I cannot give a very specific time as to when I found Jesus. I was raised my good Baptist parent who taught me about our savior from when I was quite young. Of course, as I said as well, my husband Mike really helped me to see clearly the path of God.

I hope since you can't attend church on a regular basis, your husband reads Scripture to your family every day! A family who prays together, stays together!

How many boys do you have, and what is your kitchen like?

Yes, we read the Bible every morning before we start the day and every night before we go to bed. We do not currently have any children although we are expecting in the spring.

I hope the ailment with which God has stricken you in no way interferes with you serving up a warm slice of pie for your husband.

What is your favorite scripture?

I know that God gave me my illness for a reason. Perhaps it is so that we were pushed to live in beutiful Montana where the air is clean and healthy children may be raised. And of course I am completly able to care for my husband here where my asthma is not so affected as it was when we lived in more populated regions. It always gives me great pleasure when Mike comes home to see my days work.
