The problem starts when European journalists make false reports and no sense at all and they spread their lies all over the globe. They barely speak any other language than French (unlike American reporters who are fluent in at least five languages) and then they try to report about the Bahrain and other countries in Persian Gulf. It is a fiasco of course.

Not to worry, I visit Al Jazeera, presstv and pravda daily, as well as BBC, CNN, MSNBC, FoxNews and a few lesser known news organizations depending on the events of the day. As such I get a balanced view of world events. Never let it be said a True Christian™ is willfully ignorant.

My opinion is following: Nothing good can be done with the protest. Those who opposed government where just lazy spoiled rats that do deserve as little as it was given to them (or possibly even less).

Intervention was led by Saudi Arabia, but mastermind behind this was UK which wanted to get oil and influence that they lost in last 50 years in the region.

Uprising in Bahrain produced a lot of tension. But reality, however, the role of sectarianism, and particularly Iran’s influence in the uprising, was limited by UN and UK.

I think the best West Qurna, mainly because of their surprisingly gigantic oil reserves (just officially: near 13 billion barrels!)
China National Petroleum is doing the most efficient job there. They care not for any working conditions, their economy is strong and combined with wish of China to prove itself better than anyone in the world it makes the safest choice for investment....

I’m really pissed off by Iraqi gov’t “awarding” a contract to commies (Lukoil) at the WQ oilfiled! Did our guys really have to die for that???

Next, how would you assess the Risk Management issue at the Kirkuk oilfield?

How much would the future war against Iran pump up the world crude oil prices? Well, windfall profit is not a sin, right?

Even in my wildest dreams I would not dare to say such a thing. True Christans are so far the best people I have talked to for a while.



You answered quite correctly, they are more fundamentalist, but that is only half of the story. Problem is that whole middle east is divided in many tribes, so your religion or way of life does not matter to the people as much as to which tribe you belong to (similar with Indian caste, but not exactly).
I stayed in Iran on the wish of my wife’s father. I exchange I got the most obedient women.

I am sorry but you Americans are just too nice to my people. Chinese see only numbers, while Americans see people also (since you are not communist). Not good for a company.
Personally I would avoid Kirkuk oilfield as much as possible. It has severe issues; if I may I shall list some of them:
- -The weather in the region changes drastically throughout the year, so process takes more time.
- - The region itself is completely unstable.
- -Multiple owners (never a good thing).
- -Huge population of Kurds near never means a good thing (Imagine a Mexican version of an Arab)

I don’t think there will be future war in Iran since Israeli idiots probably wont get support for it in UN.
But if there is war however, oil prices will go up definitely.

As for your (very good) question;

Ba'ath Party consisted of nationalists and socialists.
But their nationalism originated in racial nationalism, not religious nationalism.
Ba'ath was until recently the political ideology behind the regimes in Libya and Iraq. I know some previous members who were called-at-arms and went killing American tourists.
It is needles to say they where inesent.

I am but a simple country gentleman and therefore might be confused but how can a person who marries a girl prior to her becoming fertile have a problem with child molesters? We at least wait until they are capable of bearing children.
