The text you quote comes from Galatians 3:28.

You mislabeled the chapter and verse, but fortunately we are smart enough to figure out what you meant.

I fail to see how the cited quote is intended to prohibit men from smacking their wives every now and then, as though it were some big deal.

The message of the verse is that we can all be saved, no matter if we're female, black, or some other undesirable thing. JESUS is always willing to hire on extra servants for the Kingdom of Heaven.

The message of the verse is not intended to give the impression that women are equal to men.

You will notice the same author of Galatians wrote the following...

But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God. - 1 Corinthians 11:3

Please explain how the author intends to imply that women are equal to men in GOD's eyes.

Oh you all have showed him so well, I must applaud you.
Although I am sure that God told us, in plain words, in the King James Bible to love thy neighbor, you certainly must be showing love of a sorts to them all with such words and behaviour. It will only be a matter of time until I learn to see things the way all of my fellow brothers and sisters on here have learned to do so.

Although I am sure that God told us, in plain words, in the King James Bible to love thy neighbor, you certainly must be showing love of a sorts to them all with such words and behaviour. It will only be a matter of time until I learn to see things the way all of my fellow brothers and sisters on here have learned to do so.

I don't know about you, but none of my neighbors are perverts, hippies, mormons, dope addicts, queers, atheists, witches or fools. God hates them, and directly instructs us to avoid them like the plague.

Indeed. We showed him True Christian Love.

Hebrews 12:5-8
And ye have forgotten the exhortation which speaketh unto you as unto children, My son, despise not thou the chastening of the Lord, nor faint when thou art rebuked of him:

We are merely a beacon for Jesus' elect. We spread the Good News in hopes that others who are destined to spend eternity with us in Heaven, pressed snugly against Jesus' bosom, singing praise songs, will find us and fellowship with us.
