I'm sure you've heard all this before though, so I won't waste my energy typing anything to try and sway you away from your rigid fundy beliefs. Just suffice it top say that there are millions of shameless idolators (Pagans, Hindus etc) like me on this planet, milions of Jews and other people you hate. You can't burn us all in the name of your "god". You should maybe try looking for another planet or asteroid to inhabit where you can all practice your joyless hateful belief system in a pure and "holy" place free from unbelievers. Maybe we should send all the Sand-nazis up there too, so y'all can enjoy having a big ding-dong crusade/jihad together and leave the rest of us alone in peace!

Why would we want to burn people in the name of God? God can cope with that on His own and there's a mechanism for doing just that that is laid out clearly for us to see.

Also, FYI, the planets are little lights on the firmament that move around unlike the other lights (stars) hence the name: planet means wanderer. This quaint fable that they are other worlds is yet more nonsense by secularists to make us dream that they can save us instead of God by going there. It all sounds so silly when you look at it from a Godly perspective - why not try it before it's too late?

All scripture is written by imperfect human beings, and therefor should be subject to analysis and judged on its merit IMO.

And here we get at the heart of the matter with you. It is clear that you simply have no spiritual discernment. Unguided by the Holy Spirit, you have itching ears (II Timothy 4:3), which is why you are drawn to false doctrines like a fly is drawn to dooky. In your bullheadedness, you have simply backed yourself into a corner where you are simply unqualified to say anything intelligent about God's Word as given in the King James Bible.

At least Jews have a tradition of scriptural enquiry and questioning (so a Jew told me anyway). You guys seem to just take everything literally. Neither Christianity nor Islam quite have the same "je ne sais quoi" of Judaism though. I'm not anti-monotheism, just anti-literalist and against "conversion by the sword". I'm not aware of Jews having converted any great number of people "by the sword" in the past thousand years. Christians and Muslims though, well, you both have quite a nasty history to deal with in terms of religious intolerance-fuelled hatred and violence. I've never been so glad I renounced my baptism as when I read about the shameful history of Christian savagery in Europe and around the world!

Well no, we mostly don't as a rule (well, not unless someone $%&ks with us first that is!) Because we're pluralistic and believe that the divine can manifest in an infininite number of different forms, we tend not to feel the need to foist our own particular form/s of god onto others. If people mess with us though, it is our duty to fight back and maintain our freedom (read the Bhagavad Gita if you don't believe me - you'll find the Hindu instruction in there to fight against evil and oppressive influences - fighting against violent religious hate-mongers would fall under this category. As a Scandinavian Pagan I pretty much concur with this doctrine, especially since we're a related culture and all. We consider it a duty.) Having said this, no religion is perfect and we all have our bad history to deal with (sacrifice, slavery and such), but the mark of a mature faith IMO is one which can face bad ideas and practices from the past head on, deal with them, and grow up. I just worry that you guys are so stuck in a scriptural time warp and that you'll buy anything that's written, so you're not best placed to deal with bad ideas and will therefor do unfortunate things in response to them. Nothing wrong with folk who believe in one god, so long as they let the rest of us get on with doing our thing. I only have a problem with people who think it's ok to kill unbelievers for no other reason than that they're unbelievers. I've seen people in here freely express the view that it's ok to burn people who don't believe as they do, because their "god" tells them to. These people are no different in that respect therefor to Islamists in my mind. I'll bet they get really angry too that they can no longer legally act out their "I am the wrath of god" fantasies on people who won't submit...

I read the post by cranky old man "8 reasons why god hates denmark" ( I am from denmark my self) at frist I was found it amuseing because it was so ridiculis, I did not think he was being serious (he got a lot of facts wrong) but then I started reading more posts on the forum. I thought this so called god was all about love and forgiveness, but all I see is here on this forum is hate you are what is wrong with religion and the reason religon has to go. Dont you see how you are spreading hate. You are no better then al qaeda. I do apologize for misspelling, english is not my main language
