Hello everyone

Hi, I am a christian born and raised, I am currently in need of a church and am looking around seeing as I have just moved and am hoping to find one that I find suitable soon. I have joined here to learn more about the views expressed here seeing as I have heard many things about them, although not always positive I would rather see them myself then go by hearsay of others. I know that some of my views are different then the ones here but feel free to discuss your views with me if you want seeing as I do believe that everyone's views should be heard in the least although more times then not it seems followed. One of my favourite passages would be Psalm 23 1-4 The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing. He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, he refreshes my soul. He guides me along the right paths for his name’s sake. Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.

This reminds me that even in tough times God is still there and that with him I can return to the path of light

Part of your problem is you are using a PERversion (NIV maybe?) of the Bible. We use the KJV Bible here.

I am a HUGE fan of Psalm 23, and this is an excellent opportunity to show the superiority of the KJV Bible over all others. Check out the difference in this one key verse (Psalm 23:4):

(NIV) "Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me."

The "darkest valley" ??? Are you KIDDING me? That's supposed to put the Fear of God into someone? HELL NO.



Here is how God really says it:

(KJV) "Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me."

BAM!!!

EXACTLY..... This is also why i know that the KJV 1611 is the TRUE and ONLY Bible.... No sweet talk to lure people into fake belives, we have The Bible, that say things in a way we might not like to hear, BUT this is the TRUTH and should we humans change the word of God? I dont think so.

When God speaks we better listen, and do as he sayes, word by word, without try and change it for the benefit of us

Boy, you should just say a prayer of thanks right now for the fact that the Bible does not specifically prohibit run-on sentences.
