Ladies, how much time do you spend in the kitchen?

I'm unable to start posts in any other area of the forum but this one, and I'm wondering how many hours a day the other woman spend working in the kitchen. Gentlemen, please feel free to chime in if you'd like to answer for your wife.

I love to cook and bake. I'm wondering how much time the ladies here on the forum spend in the kitchen every day between praying, bible reading, baby raising and sewing?

Today I managed to get 6 dozen cookies made, made cheesy scalloped potatoes and baked a ham.
I'm also in the process of working on another quilt for our bed. Winter is upon us and we need to stay warm.
It's been a busy day, but oh my goodness it feels good to take care of my husband and my family!

Proverbs 31:13 -She selects wool and flax and works with eager hands.
14 -She is like the merchant ships bringing her food from afar.
22 - She makes coverings for her bed; she is clothed in fine linen and purple.
27 - She looketh well to the ways of her household, and eateth not the bread of idleness.

Hey Kimberly, as you know, I am unmarried. I do, however, hope to win the hand of another member of this church, whose name is Maria. I can't imagine myself expecting her to do much in the way of cooking or cleaning, though. I envision myself giving her frequent foot massages and taking her out to eat at the many fine South American restaurants here in the Bay Area.

I know some folks here might disagree, though. Probably I still have a lot of growing up to do, and I still need to grow in The Lord, before I'll be ready for marriage.

It sounds to me like you are planning on making your wife the head of the household by catering to her. Do you think that's a wise move?

Also...foot massages? Is this another one of your fetishes you love to speak about? I do wish you'd spend more time studying your bible than thinking lewd thoughts about various body parts!!

Isn't Maria from Spain? Perhaps I'm thinking of the a different person, but if she is from Spain, you do know that just because she speaks Spanish does not make her the same as a South American, right?

well, quite a bit actually. everything in the trailer is just one room, expecially since Uncle Grampa and cousin Jeb installed a terlet in the living room, Praise God! It aint hooked up to no pipes or nothin, but it sure is convienent to use while I'm watchin my progrims.

Congratulations on getting an indoor toilet! That must have been so exciting for you and your family!!
You mentioned that it's not hooked up just yet. I'm wondering, is there a hole cut in the floor so that your waste may return to the earth and act as fertilizer, or does it just fill up there in the bowl?
Also, with everything being all in one room, does that mean you are able to prepare meals while on the toilet? I'm thinking this would be a tremendous time saver for us women folk! No need to leave the kitchen to take care of our bodily functions!
I think you should patent your family's invention. Maybe even call it the Kitchlet!!!

well, at first there wadnt no hole in the floor, but over time them floor boards started rottin through, Praise God! so, now most've my leavings sluice through into the crawlspace under the trailer? it can be troublesome though, on account of raccoons and such what like to crawl up through the terlet and try and take up residence in the trailer. it sure is right surprising when I'm makin my business, and one of them rascally critters nips me on mah nether regions! Hoowee!

Yikes! That would be quite a surprise. But, you should look on the bright side. Once they nip you, you know they're there. You can just reach right down an grab'em. No more wondering about what's for supper cause you've trapped it with your bare bottom!!
