    Unsaved trash

    Hello, all.

Well, I feel obligated to offer an introduction of myself, since I see it requested that I do so upon registration and in numerous places on the forums here, so I will. I've been lurking around these forums and observing the goings-on for a few months now, and I finally got the urge to actually register, so that I might voice any questions that I may have. I'll immediately admit to being "unsaved trash", and that I do not share many of the views and opinions found here, however, I'm not here to debate, stir up a ruckus, or "troll". You have your views, I have mine, you can make efforts to change my views all you like, and it's up to me from that point to decide whether or not to accept such instances. Same goes for me. It's not my place to try and pressure my views and opinions unto anyone here. If you're curious what I am here for; I'm here to learn. Not because I'm aiming to one day be saved or anything like that, but simply for the sake of information. I consider myself to be a learning writer, and someday later in life, I might desire to write on the things I found to be interesting in Landover Baptist. Toward that end, I wish to be a peaceful, background member of this community, working with it's members to gather accurate and truthful information. I understand that I could make more sense of your views and opinions once I get my hands on the preferred bible used here, but that will come later once I secure the finances for the purchase. For now, it will suffice by me inquiring to various people of any questions that come to mind. I'd like to assure you that I am in no way associated with the press or media, I am a private writer with a curiosity on the subject of "Landover Baptist" and it's community. Please allow me to gather information and work with one or more of your community to write an accurate and truthful account. If you would prefer I not write on the subject, that's fine as well, but I would like to still satisfy my curiosity.

So let's see... I've actually been raised in a "household" and "family" that claimed to be christian for the most part, but never behaved anything like the sort, nor actually lived by the word of god, even to my limited knowledge of it. My parents were never married, and from what I understand, I was an accident that was created through the abuse of alcoholic beverages, drugs, and a party involving a bonfire. As such, I have never remained in one place for very long, being shuffled from my mother's home to my father's, and back, over the course of the first 18 years of my life. Even when I managed to stay with one or the other for a decent amount of time, they always insisted on relocating every few months, for reasons completely unknown to me. I have been dragged in and out of many, many churches all over the United States, most of which flew the banner of "Penecostal" or "Non-Denominational". I don't accept the views and teachings of these churches any more than I accept drug abuse and alcoholism... which since you don't know yet, is "not at all". I have never experimented with drugs, and the only experience I have had with alcohol was when I was made to drink it unawares on my 20th birthday by people I had once considered my "friends". Needless to say, I am not fond of it. Back on churches; I currently do not attend a church, and at present, my intentions do not include eventually attending. If I must decide on a favorite bible verse out of my extremely lacking knowledge base on the subject... I can't quote it or it's location, but there is a point that describes the care and use of a sword, and something about a scepter... and I seem to recall Solomon being mentioned in the general area? if someone knows what I'm speaking of, could I please be directed to that section of text? In any case, It's pretty clear that I have not found Jesus, but I believe I fall under this post in your "noobs please read" thread of the Pastor's Rules. While I don't exactly have a faith, belief or religion that I follow (to my knowledge), I'm open for questions, and am interested in hearing more about Landover Baptist.

Thank you for taking the time to read my somewhat lengthy and unfortunately "un-informative" introduction, and while I'll likely remain "unsaved trash" for the entire duration of my stay here, I hope for and look forward to a peaceful stay.

Don't they teach you young punks how to use paragraphs like in the bible (KJV1611), these days?

1 Corinthians 11:3 But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God.

Revelation 22:15 For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.

Leviticus 20:13 If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.

Welcome friend. If you do not post scripture proclaiming your everlasting devotion to Jesus, I really do not have time for the cackling of female.
What verse in the KJV most inspired you to prolifically produce males to wage the war for Christianity?
Isaiah 45:7 I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.
Amos 3:6 Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be afraid? shall there be evil in a city, and the LORD hath not done it?
Numbers 21:6 And the LORD sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people; and much people of Israel died.
Matthew 10:34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.
Matthew 10:35 For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.
Matthew 10:36 And a man's foes shall be they of his own household.

Indeed it is. And this was a short wall of text by my standards. I could have given a full biography, but figured that would garner more of an unfavorable response, and I hoped to at least make a neutral first impression.

And no, they don't teach such things. It's public schooling, so it's to be expected that important details such as paragraphs in writing go overlooked in curriculum. I at least had a few years of homeschooling to make up for some of the damage.

And thank you for clarifying which bible version is preferred.

Friend, don't you realize we only care about God. You are of no significance.

We do not 'grade' people based on the number of words they are capable of regurgitating.

You apparently don't have the time to read the first post, which already answers your question, and I'm not the sort to repeat myself unnecessarily, so it doesn't matter if I am male or female. Speaking of that, where is it stated that my gender is female? There is some sort of mistake somewhere, because I am most assuredly male.

Please, either call me "friend", or call me "insignificant". I don't care which, just make up your mind. And I don't recall there being mention of someone making an opinion or placing value on how many words I have written. That's not really relevant to anything at all.

Friend, you feebly attempt to place yourself along side Jesus. That is impossible. You are one of millions upon millions of people. God does not cotton to people who think they are as magnificent as Him.

                      Hello Alrisandre!

If funds are tight because of the overbearing anti-business marxist policies of Brock Osambo, I urge you to look for an online version of the KJV such as this one here. Start right at the beginning, just like you would with any other book.

                      READ IT STRAIGHT THROUGH.

                      DO NOT SKIP AROUND.

DO NOT ATTEND A STUDY GROUP.

DO NOT LET ANYONE TELL YOU TO READ CERTAIN VERSES.

Nope, start at Genesis 1:1 and praise Our Lord Jesus Christ at Revelation 22:21 with all of your heart (you won't be able to stop yourself!!!).

Could, I suppose. But it doesn't, for I am neither. I am male, and proud to have a lovely young lady as my beloved.

Again, if you had read my introduction, you would see that I have very limited knowledge of scripture, and have at least some interest in gaining where I lack here. Heh, I will admit to prattling rather frequently, but I am not female by any means.

Wait... what? I have neither said nor hinted at any such thing, nor would I dare consider myself anything more than what I am: a simple writer with lofty goals of owning a multimedia studio. I'm quite proud of what I am, and would not consider myself to be anything more or anything less.

I am unaware of the reason(s) that I should not attend a study group. Could you inform me of your reasons, please?

I think I have a general idea, but just to confirm; How come I should not take suggestions to read specific verses?

                            Re: Hello, all.

Friend, I think that you, like many females and some rodents, have a very short memory. Perhaps you should re-read what you posted.

Furthermore, ignorance, while you may enjoy wallowing in it, is no excuse for not knowing the Bible. It is a book, granted the most fantastic book ever, that was written so any person could understand it. So explain what the problem is. As Brother Zechariah Smyth stated, try starting at the beginning. My wife even understands that.

Interpreting the bible (KJV1611) is no good at all

Read it. Follow it to the letter. No interpretation, no metafor, just FACT.

                              Yours in Christ.
