    Hello Fellow Christians

Hello everyone, my name is James Dean. I'm from Europe and English isn't my first language so I'm sorry if I'm not always correct in my English

I was lucky enough to be guided to the right path by my own wife. I met her when she was 18 and I was 28 and she helped me find my way back to Jesus.
She is a believer of Domestic Discipline that her parents also practice and through her I found my faith again. Not many people understand our marriage and many people would judge me as a wife beater which can lead to difficult situations.

They judge you as a wife beater? Why is that if she is okay with the occasional over the knee discipline? What business is it of theirs if your wife asks for it?

What is your favorite Bible verse? What church do you take your family to?
Christians are superior because we possess an understanding that unbelievers lack. It is through the Power of Jesus only the converted mind is able to understand what is going on in the world; what the Communists are really up to; what Satan's intentions are. Most unbelievers do not even believe in Satan and cannot understand his tactics.

Domestic Discipline is fine, as long as it is True Christian(tm) Domestic Discipline(c). Do you base your marriage relationship on the entire King James Bible, v. 1611? If not, you are simply a batterer.

Welcome, James! I'm a little confused as to why your wife would require ongoing beatings? Does the phrase "tell her once" mean anything to you?

I sure hope she isn't some closet BDSM freak who's tricking you into helping her act our some kind of sick fantasies.

No my wife is not like that!!! She knows her flaws and she sometimes requires correction when she dwindles which is my obligation to give her.
Her biggest (and almost only) flaw is laziness and she needs constant reminders to help her with that.

I agree with you we just had an incident once but I rather forget about that

favorite Bible verse. hmmmm that's a hard one as I have to translate it from Dutch as I don't own an English bible so bear with me
            from Titus
That you should show your woman to love her husband and love her children. to be discrete, tidy and obedient to their husband and that they should never take the Lord's name in vain

We go to a baptist church but it's hard to translate the Dutch name of the church. It is a King James Bible church

              Re: Hello Fellow Christians

Maybe I should tell a bit more about myself!

I'm a hard working farmer, I own a medium sized milk farm in the east of the Netherlands. I'm pleased that the lord has bestowed me this great honored job by letting me be born in a farming family. Sadly my own father died when I was only 10 and needed his guidance most. I lost my faith in God for 17 years after that. I couldn't understand why God would take my father away from me. I should have understood that he was testing my faith in him. Sadly my own mother lacked the ability to help me see this. I took off from home when I was only 17 to study

When I got older I got a call that my mother had gotten sick and was in hospital and someone had to run my fathers farm. Somehow I felt that this was the right thing to do for me and I immediately returned home to set things right with the farm and my mother Sadly she died within a year of my return.

As a farmer it is hard to find a good wife. Luckily I was asked to attend to a farming congress by my community and there I met my loving wife. She was 10 years younger then me though but it felt as if everything was right. She didn't want to date me without her parents consent so we agreed I would spend a weekend at her parents farm. There under her parents watchful eyes on their farm we talked a lot. She told me about her and her parents believes and that she hoped I had those same believes. I also talked to her parents about her for a long time and they decided that it was better for us to see each other once a month for a year at their house to see if I was the match they were hoping for. I felt weird but also good after this weekend and as she had only just turned 18 and me being 10 years older then her I was fine with this plan. We saw each other often that year and her parents and her also came to visit me on my farm several times. Just before she turned 19 I asked her father for her hand which he accepted and she was overjoyed by this.

We now have 2 sons and 2 daughters (twins) which we raise with our believes. They boys are hard working who do well in school and help out on the farm. The girls are still young but already show a great love for the Lord.

Yes indeed Domestic discipline is part of our lives which I am glad for. Although I wasn't brought up with this and it isn't openly discussed anywhere I still have many questions. Right now I just try to feel God's power in me when I have to enforce discipline in our household.

Gee, I'm sorry to hear about the two daughters. Don't be discouraged, though. We've got members here, like James Hutchins, for example, who've had more daughters than they can count, and they don't let it get them down.

She is a lucky woman to have found a man willing to take the responsibility for her natural female tendency toward moral turpitude. I wish I had found one so young and I may have been saved a lot sooner.

Oh and btw: why are you worried about what sinful unsaved trash think of your marriage?

Sadly Dutch law states that you can't discipline your wife or children here. Luckily my wife was able to explain it well enough to the police when one of our neighbors called the cops on me for disciplining my wife

I'm not sorry for my daughters, they will be raised to become good wives just like my own! All faithful men need a good wives that honor them and I will be glad that my daughters will be able to do that later.

At the moment my wive is expecting our next child which we are hoping will be a strong boy again.

Yes but you have to understand that the east and south of the Netherlands do not agree with the sinners in the west. Luckily for us we live in a small part of the country where people do follow the lords way. Sadly our neighbors moved to us from the west and we have to see them as the Lords way to test our faith. We have been trying to make them see that our way is the way of the Lord but so far we have not succeeded
