Re: Hello
Having read the whole Bible so well you will, of course, know who it was who had a talking donkey and be able to give us chapter and verse pointing us to this wondrous tale.
(Happy googling!)

Re: Hello
What kind of Bible are you reading that has the entire text contained in one verse?Originally posted by YoungOne View PostThat is a good point, I shall do my best not to do that. Of course, should we have a favorite verse? Or should our favorite verse be the entire Bible?

Re: Hello
I think it's good to have a favorite verse. Mine changes all the time. Right now, I really like Matthew 15:26.Originally posted by YoungOne View PostThat is a good point, I shall do my best not to do that. Of course, should we have a favorite verse? Or should our favorite verse be the entire Bible?
But he answered and said, It is not meet to take the children's bread, and to cast it to dogs.

Re: Hello
Of course you can have a favourite verse but being all puffed up about it would be a sin.Originally posted by YoungOne View PostThat is a good point, I shall do my best not to do that. Of course, should we have a favorite verse? Or should our favorite verse be the entire Bible?
1 Timothy 3:6 Not a novice, lest being lifted up with pride he fall into the condemnation of the devil.

Matthew 6:7,8
7But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking. 8Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him.
Beware, youngster.

Ah... Matthew 6... good times.
Matthew 6:5,6
5And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward. 6But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.

Hello
Hello, I'm Steven. I've attended a Presbyterian church from the small town I live in, but I follow the Bible more than anything else. I've read the Bible hundreds of times and I live my life as it requires me to do. My favorite Bible verse is matthew 6:33 "But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you." I found Jesus as a kid when I started reading the Bible as soon as I could read. I hope to learn to become an even better Christian and make an example for other people to follow.Tags: None
