You're referring to the Golden Rule (and even getting it wrong) which does appear in the Bible (several places, actually) but is not one of the Ten Commandments. It says NOTHING about treating others with respect.
Luke 6:31 "And as ye would that men should do to you, do ye also to them likewise."
Sounds great, doesn't it? If only everyone would apply that we'd all be living in a paradise right now? WRONG.
These people would WANT others to shout, yell, and scream at them that they were sinning and putting their immortal souls in peril of eternal hellfire, so they do the same to you.
Before you go accusing people of hypocrisy (which you were doing in a thinly-veiled way above), LEARN OF WHAT YOU SPEAK.
And if you think the Golden Rule is so awesome, imagine the other person is a masochist. Not so great anymore, huh?
